Did you know that Ralph appears in almost every battle sequence in The Lord of the Rings?

Watched 1 and 2 last night. Very cool. Now to go to work and practice, "measure once, clamp it, measure again, loosen clamps and adjust, remeasure, tap lightly with a soft mallet, use a bigger hammer, remeasure, use a second rule in case the first was defective, go back to the first rule.". Or something of the sort.

Ha! Well, they are thorough, and good engineers!

They still have a TON of work to do, I don't see them finishing this project till August or so at the rate they're going. I'm sure they're going to build a roll cage yet, and I wonder where they're going to fit the radiator and intercooler, cause the pipes are right up against the front end.

I also wonder if they'll be able to refit the things they took out, like the power steering pump and such. I love watching how they solve these issues..

Can't wait for the next one.....

Actually, I am impressed by how they are good racing engineers. Every structural part added looks to have strength in all the right places and directions, but there has been none of that dumb "see how I'm a real man and have made everything from 1/4" plate" mentality.

So glad I found this thread on a surprise snow day off from work! Hilarious stuff and a very interesting project too, much better than lots of the equivalent project shows on TV in my opinion!

I almost lost it when I saw the kitten picture on Nik's bumper book in episode 3

Keep it coming guys, cant wait to see more!
