That's one way to fix the front of an F56.
I know he was not in an actual F56 but I like the idea.

That's one of the big problems I had with the second Italian Job movie - when the three MINIs come roaring out of the tunnel and make that jump, they land nose down, some of them almost vertical/nose down - that would not have happened with 2800lbs of gold in the boot!
Everyone knows what happens to a nose heavy car in flight......-

It really isn't about the weight distribution, but rather the dynamics of the car. If you are on the gas the car will tend to fly level to nose up. Off the gas it will bring the nose down. At least that has been my experience & this guy named Colin agrees.

I am surprised he doesn't have arm restraints, if he had been knocked out after the initial impact who knows where they would have ended up, he did a great job keeping them tucked in though. Hope his second attempt goes better.-

*** note add more weight in the trunk next time so you fly level.

Looks like he actually came up a bit short, hit the flat part of the landing ramp.

That was cool and I like that he said he is going to rebuild and try it again and do it.

Thanks, I've been trying to find that ^ video again for a while. I'm sure it's about a number of things working right, or not, including the dynamics McRae mentions and more.
I think I remember reading shortly after the failed jump that Chicherit's engineer thought the suspension was the culprit. I think he said the suspension acted as predicted during each of the shorter jumps done while building up to the full distance. But on the record attempt the front suspension didn't rebound correctly after compressing when he hit the ramp at the higher speed required to make the greater distance. It may have been speculation at the time but I can imagine how, if the geometry of the car was off like that when he left the ramp, other effects could combine to cause rotation.
