Thanks, I've been trying to find that ^ video again for a while. I'm sure it's about a number of things working right, or not, including the dynamics McRae mentions and more. I think I remember reading shortly after the failed jump that Chicherit's engineer thought the suspension was the culprit. I think he said the suspension acted as predicted during each of the shorter jumps done while building up to the full distance. But on the record attempt the front suspension didn't rebound correctly after compressing when he hit the ramp at the higher speed required to make the greater distance. It may have been speculation at the time but I can imagine how, if the geometry of the car was off like that when he left the ramp, other effects could combine to cause rotation.
Well that was one whopper of a jump & many things came into play. Not a normal jump, if any jump is normal.
