This is probably dumb and completely obvious, but somehow I am missing it. When I click on someone's gallery link under their name, it seems to direct me a generic page. How does one get to a member's gallery? Thanks
You are not missing anything. Someone..umm, me.. when they setup the gallery, made some mistakes that I've been struggling to fix. It's a white board item here that when I have some serious time I'll be digging into.
You know, if we get enough members to complain, it will drive Nate absolutely nuts and he will actually move it up on the to do list.
Don't complain, come up with solutions... Oh wait, that's the official sewing site solution to problems that members bring up. Mark
And while you're at it, here's a suggestion... on other sites, sometimes I see an interesting post and I click on the poster's gallery link to see what else the poster is up to -- only to find that their gallery is empty. It would be great if the user's gallery link is only displayed if it isn't empty.
Arghh...OK. It's fixed! Now as to the suggestion rkw has, well that is going to have to wait until after the server move as it will add one query for each post on the page to determine if the member has images in the gallery.
+1 on this one... As well as Badge collections, Garages, etc. Seems like the links should only display if the user has actually put something into these. And for these to be my biggest gripes about this forum, means somebody is doing a fantastic job keeping it running smoothly and effectively - Big KUDOS! _Dave_ EDIT: Just noticed my secondary gripe is already fixed! Me Scuse!...
