My left seat bolster is doing the exact same thing. Sorry I can't help you with your search for a repair place. I haven't gotten that far to look for one yet. If you find a decent place let us know here.
Welcome to M/A!

Mine has done the same thing. Of course it's just out of warranty.

Talk to MAG first they might warantee replace it. When they replaced mine they just asked to make sure it had not been replaced before. I was outside of my warantee at the time so it does not hurt to ask.

Mine was replaced under warranty. It happened again to the replacement & they said :nonod:.

I see a trend and a potential trip to a specilist for a special bolster coverer

I'm thinking three years out of warranty MAG isn't going to be so generous w/me. I'm somewhat concerned this thing is going to split on me and look considerably worse. How long have you guys been living with the cracks?
I found this place through a Google search Fibrenew Columbus South - Leather, Vinyl & Upholstery Repair
You can send a pic of the damage and they'll send you a quote. Repairs are done onsite. Anyone had any experience with Fibrenew? -

I would also find out the cost to have it reupholdtered as it might not cost that much more and you could use a more durrable material. They all come apart in the same place so a good shop might be able to just replace the one section.

There are two shops that a lot of the rod guys use. Both are very good.

Fibrenew...
I did a Franklin County Clerk of Courts search and found no current issues..... There are two in Columbus, both are operated as a home business out of their garage (don't know if this is something to be concerned about or not). Post up your experience if you decide to use them. -

Fiber new sounds like a dietary supplement...
I'll answer sgrobben, I've had a crack all my life. The one in the seat has been there for better than a year.
Mark, A Auto Upholstery are the guys who did my MG seats for me when I restored that old girl. They used to be in Hooterville, but I'd lost track of them. Thanks for the link! I'll head over & see what they say. -

docv Well-Known MemberLifetime Supporter:arf: It is actually world wide but headquarters is KC, I do paint touch up but had my partner who does interiors do the bolsters on my coop, they were cracked pretty bad but look as good as new, that was two years ago and the repair is holding up very well.

Thanks for that. I'm going to explore all the options.

Reviving this to find out of Crashton ever did anything about the crack in the car seat.
My drivers seat needs a refresh. I've worn some areas pretty darn thin. -
That was 90 miles in 8 days.
