Hood Scoops
VERY NICE!!! both of them. Where'd y'all get them? What(if I may ask) price range for unpainted and less installation. Y'all both appear to be R53s. Do they have them for R56s?:cornut: Jason

You might have gotten the owner between going to the dragon, school vacation, and a work project..... Sometimes just finding an item that is still being sold new can be a challenge....instant gratification no....but remember, it has to be painted when you get it...so not like you can take it out of the box and use it....better weather for painting is coming too....might be the same reason your part is late....laying up fiberglass in the cold sucks....-

Luv mine to but getting one is a nightmare the owner seems to lose a family member every time you order one and make you wait weeks if not months a real muppet to deal with, shame as it's the best scoop in my opinion it flows nicely with the body work unlike m7 etc.

i got it stright from voltages web site... and i think i got mine with group buy or promo at the the time. I truely dont remember how much i paid. But i did have to get mine painted to match my paint. I didnt pay for that, my Insurance did at the time
I didnt have any fitment problems. It only took mins to install.
They didnt have the CF one when i got mine. But I would love to have it now. -
Very Sweet!
More photos please

Thanks, again both cars VERY NICE. My scoop(factory, and I don't think very functional as it is low and small. I did open up ALL the holes in the screen though) is black and white checkerboard. To my eyes, it gives it that WWI 'Flying Circus' fighter plane look. Some might question as to why I would put a larger scoop on an R56. Well with a CAI in the rear of the engine compartment, it lets in more cold air and perhaps takes away more of that turbocharger heat. Thanks:cornut: Jason

No fitment issues, I haven't started yet. Just wanted to see if anyone had any advice on making it easier. Looks like I will need to trim/file the black plastic piece that sits behind the standard scoop in the hood, unless it's better to take it out?
I didn't know they did CF either, although I would have still wanted to go with color coded. They are currently showing at $220 plus tax and shipping on Voltage's website. -
I had no fitment issues with mine. It just dropped in.
And I left the plastic hood liner off on the reinstall.
My biggest reason for going with it? To help let under hood heat escape.
And it seems to be working. I hardly ever have the cooling fans kick on once I park the car... highly scientific, I know. -
Any increase in IC damage due to 'objects' getting through the wider aperture?

About how long did it take to get your scoop after you ordered it?

It takes a little time to get parts from Voltage. Just send them an e-mail.

I have but I ordered it March 6 and they said they were working on making it beginning of April. I don't want to pester but my wife doesn't like that we spent that much and haven't gotten anything yet.

FYI he is in SoCal and it's always warm and sunny, he is lazy when it comes to shipping out orders.
I have some voltage parts and they do take a long time to ship. :incazzato:
