Yep I voted for you, it was really close but I came to my decision based solely on what all has gone into your car. Its uniqueness, and its curb appeal, it doesn't hurt that its a justa cabrio. Dont think that one of those has won before.
For my splitter, I am hoping to have the first prototype on the road by tax time. It depends on the weather and extra $$$ though. Also how backed up the fiberglass shop is. It kinda sucks that I am designing and building the first mould and I wont even have the first one on my car! But my beta tester is a good friend of mine and one of the trackrats of MINI5280, so no doubt it will get some proper testing before I decide to offer them to the people.
Not sure if I will need to register as a vendor or not but when the time comes, I will start a thread on each of the forums I am still on to gauge overall intrest.

I've driven examples of every MINI version made from R50 through R60. Each MINI model has its strong points and I'd gladly own any of them over driving an appliance. However the R53 GP just delivers more smiles-per-mile

Perhaps if the contest were broken down into groups and/or sub-groups, which match "like" MINI's together it would have a better turn out. I have to agree with Gil-galad thoughts on this one. We should try and keep it alive, because it is fun.
