Both the Graf and Hepu water pumps have shafts that are longer than OEM, making them difficult to get installed.

As noted above, MINI finally switched to a metal housing for the OEM water pumps. They are a little more expensive than the aftermarket brands, but I would definitely go with the OEM now that they switched to metal.

" Water pump you seek, here above you have.

I want to thank everyone for their input. I didn't know Mini had gone to a metal unit until you guys answered my question. That's the route I'm taking. The info is much appreciated.

jcauseyfd: I'm having Chris at Euro Motors do the work. He gave me an excellent price for all the work, including our THMMC discount.:cornut:

If it was me and you have not had any problems just stick with a new OEM one because it fits and it works.

Pretty sure the OEM switched to all metal....early ones had a few issues..hense the switch...I would HOPE all the copies switched over by now...
I remember reading the same post at done point....
Me.....I would return a new part that did not fit rather that modify it...
Think the ecs website (maybe it was pelican)showed all but the cheapest unit had a metal impeller (last time I got board and was looking around).....guess there will always be that lowest price at any cost parts buyer....
