Just call the mini dealer and they will schedule you. I bought mine bout 30 days ago from private party. Dealer had no record of me nor did mini USA so I won't get a letter.
I called and they took me right away. Took bout an hour. Really wasn't watching the clock.

Had mine done this Saturday at MINI of Monrovia. Jim (SA) had me in and out with a Carbon clean as well in 4 hours.
He did warn me that they are getting swamped with water-pump recalls now. He is back-logged on Fridays and Saturdays for the next two weeks. -

We have an interesting situation. Our 2007 S, Lassie, was originally delivered in Germany to a service member. I called up our new dealership (ownership and location changed this month) to check on the recall status for our VIN. They informed me that because the car was originally in Germany that it would not be covered by the MINI NA recall. They told me I should get the pump fixed right away because of the fire hazard, and that we should pay them about $500 to do that.
I decided I should call ASK-MINI and check on the VIN that way. Their story was a little different, the gentleman I spoke with there tells me that despite the car being a 07 build R56 S, that this particular VIN is not affected by the recall. Is that possible? I thought all of them had the faulty circuitry on the pump, am I missing something? -

Excellent day at Orlando Mini
I got my recall letter and called Orlando Mini to get it done. March 13th. at 7:30am drove over from Daytona and the SA took my car right in. He asked if it needed anything and of course I said no. He informed me of the timing chain tensioner bulletin and asked if I wanted it checked out while I was there. Of course I said "YES" so after checking the car he informed me that the components needed replacing and it would take most of the day. I said to go ahead and do it and check whatever else the car needs and go ahead and take care of anything it needs.
I decided to just stay in Orlando and wait to have everything done so I had the Mini dealers shuttle take me to the Mall. I seen two movies and ate a late lunch and called the shuttle to take me back to the dealers.
My car was not finished so I test drove an automatic"S" with the paddle shifters. (NICE)
They not only did the recall but also replaced all of the components in the timing chain system, then drained and replaced the brake fluid, Replaced the cabin filter and replaced my old original computer program with the latest updated version.
I had a great relaxing day in Orlando and now everything on my 2009 factory JCW is done.
They did ask if I wanted my car washed. (I said no ) It was as clean as a pin anyway and did not need washing.
All of this was done in one day at no charge at all to me. -

I called last week to schedule an appointment and it was 3 weeks out for me. Fortunately my Clubbie has become a weekend car so I don't drive it that much anymore.
As far as car washes go, I keep a laminated sign on my steering wheel and speedo that says "No Wash, No Lave". I also remind my SA when it comes in and they know NOT to wash my MINI. I bring my car in washed and clean so they don't feel the need to do a courtesy wash, lol.

I know Nathan asked for this a while ago. I don't remember seeing it posted. If it's still needed great. If not, I'll delete the attachment and save some server space.

Thanks for posting the letter!
Don't worry about server space. The last server move took us from 250GB of storage to 1TB. -

Hi all-
I'm new hereI have 07 Sport and have loved it until recently!
I got the aux water pump recall completed then a couple days later my car was pouring our antifreeze. Back to the dealer, I was told I had to replace the main water pump. $700 later I have my car back. Now, only a couple days later my AC is only blowing warm air. Please tell me these are some how related and I don't need to shell out more $ to the dealership? Any input is welcome, I am totally new to this and trying to learn as much as possible! -

Homer it sure is possible that those things could go as they did & be a terrible coincidental thing. I'm sorry I know that is not what you wanted to hear. I would be unhappy also, but you have a MINI so at least for me that makes it worth it.
Let us know what you find out about the AC.
Welcome to M/A... -

I have a December 2010 build Clubman S, and my local dealer told me I am not on the list to have it replaced.

^ I think I'd be questioning that a bit more....

Had water pump replaced last week and front brakes since they were close to being gone and I didn't even show the recall letter. Treated well at Nick Alexander Mini.

I took my 09 Clubman S in Friday for the water pump recall and scheduled maintenance.
When the aux recall pump was pulled, the mech noticed that the main water pump was leaking and needing to be replaced as well. Fortunately I am still under warranty so it did not cost me any money. I was very surprised about the main water pump. I have never had any engine trouble or loss of coolant.
Could there be a relationship between the aux recalled pump being pulled and the main water pump going bad?
So far my A/C is working fine.
I'm sorry that this cost you $$$.
Until I read your post, I had not heard of anyone else having a problem with the main water pump when the aux pump was replaced on recall.
I can't help but wonder if there is a relationship between the two.
