I camped there as well for a couple of nights. I also remember the storm that came through Thursday night, with a very leaky tent. UGH.

Indeed, I left Friday afternoon. Next time I'll be better prepared for the elements.

Sorry the rain chased you off. -
Oh me and my Gf experienced a leaky tent also...we stayed at the dam too. I have the chili red r53. I met some of you at the camp ground. It was our first dragon and ill say it was one of the best experiences. Everyone was very friendly and helped us with any questions we had. thank you all and can't wait for next year! Well be better prepared next time...

You should have been there last year when the tornadoes went across the Dragon... that made for more than a few leaky tents that night.
Amazingly I slept right through it, but I think that my sound sleep was aided by being off of the ground, several layers of heavy-duty canvas on the trailer's tent and a bit of over indulging during the brew swap. -
LOL.. Note for the Future: It Rains on the Dragon. Bring good tarp!! and dont forget there in the valley the wind blows pretty good also!!
Didnt do it this year.. but the three times we camped, we finally got the Idea...lol

The rain was not as bad as the HUGE tornado that we experienced last fall @ MSSD (MINI's Slay the Sleeping Dragon)
Wow! That was a camping experience. But we actually didn't get wet, just windy as if we were on top of Mt/ McKinley or something. LOL
