Since we're just a couple hundred miles to the west of you, we're pretty much getting the same thing - except.....
Yesterday it was almost 100*, then a big T-storm blew thru about noon, and it's only been into the 80's since - although as is typical for Kansas in the dead of summer, it's humid as hell. If it's still like this come August the trip to Colorado will be a welcome relief!

79 F and partly cloudy. Ahhh, life is presently good here north of the frontal boundary...:ihih:
And a nice Father's Day gift -- three hours of uninterrupted time this afternoon for a good detailing while prepping for the U.S. Open final round. I <3 my wife. -
The thermometer says 102.
I couldn't see through all the sweat in my eyes while doing yard work. -
The thermometer under the awning reads 103.1. The one out hanging on the dark stained fence in direct sun was pushing 130 before, but it's in the direct sun so that doesn't help matters.

Hot and humid (mid 90's 80-100% humidity) with vicious little afternoon thunderstorms. We had some pretty substantial damage in the area around the house yesterday. A top blew out of a pine tree 3 doors down and took out the power and the transformer in our subdivision. Just down the road, a very large oak fell through a house and did a ton of damage to the front. Fun fun fun...

Being between Ofioliti and Minidave, in terms of the state, it's miserable. I work outside and by 11:00 AM I am drenched, looks like I just got out of the lake with my cloths on....

nice here, if you can afford it
SOCal was a comfy 75ish yesterday, one of the nicest fathers days I can remember. When I lived in Ohio we used to get these hot/humid spells, I feel for you guys, it sucks. OTOH, we will see 100s without the humidity in Aug/Sept as usual, I am sure.
Calvin received new lower ball joints and control arm bushings this week, so we took him for a trip into L.A. to visit Frank Lloyd Wrights Hollyhock House. With fresh Yoko Advans on, it was one of the nicest riding trips down the rough SoCal freeways I hav ehad in him. Low 70s in Hollywood when we got down there. -

Same for us......it was already 84* at 8 am on my drive in to work.....
I lived in Sandy Eggo for almost 20 years so I'm very familiar with those gentle SoCal summers, what they hell am I doing here????? -
Here on the Texas Gulf Coast we have our usual "swamp weather" 93 degrees 68% humidity feels like very hot (but it is home and I love it).

Looks like we're shooting for 100F here today, humidity in the 70's, so the humidex will read steamy with a high chance of sweating profusely.

The MINI vs Porsche event yesterday was a sweatfest... I even ran my A/C on my hot laps because they were, well, hot... :yesnod:
Temp gauge for air temp was reading 96 on the short straight between 5 and 6. -

Bloody hot.
Worked 30 of the last 40 hours, going to lay around in the A/C today, and enjoy cold fermented beverages

Damn hot. I just did the annual full detail on the wife's Honda and I was dripping sweat all over.
