We are fine, storms were north and south of us. Worst was to the north, houses flattened, and the airport took a direct hit. Planes were blown around, some of the jet bridges were torn up, and lots of glass was blown out in the concourses. Airport is currently closed.

Indeed, hope all you MA'ers are AOK with this wacky weather, fires, tornados, floods, it's crazy out there!
The sun has finally graced us with its presence here in the PNW for two whole days! I actually got sunburnt working outside today :blush2:
Stay safe y'all! -

Oh yes keep it away. Mother nature sure has been cranky this spring.

The weather guessers are saying the storms will stay above around Lexington, KY, but I-75 to there will be pretty dicey thru Wed., or possible early Thursday. I'm headed down early Tuesday and am NOT looking forward to the drive...at least after I get past Lexington. Last year, the ride home was the same...TERRIBLE rain and flooded interstate, from north of Corbin, KY, to just north of Lexington. I'm not sure which tires to best handle the weather [hydroplaning]...the Kumho ASX all seasons or the Falken RT-615s. Any suggestions? Both have good tread....

I think I'll stay with the Kumhos...they were on last year for MOTD and got me thru all sorts of inclement weather...snow on the Cherohala Skyway as I came in and torrential downpours on the way home. The Falkens will just have to rest up for the Memorial Day weekend HPDE at Mid Ohio....

Joplin Mo was hit very hard this afternoon, a hospital there took a direct hit, many hurt and missing some fatalities as well, do not know the number yet they are still searching, I44 from Springfield MO to OK state line is closed, massive piles of cars and tractor trailer along the interstate.
There hasn't been as many tornadoes this spring but the ones that have occurred have been some monsters... -

Yeah, we were in the basement last night too, they blew the sirens twice, but it all went south of us. Couple of small towns south and west of us got hammered too.

My heart goes out to those folks who have simply lost everything, for some it's just a matter of getting the check from the insurance co, for others that have no insurance - it means starting over from scratch, with absolutely nothing.
Not to mention those who lost loved ones in the storms.
We get very cavalier about living here in tornado alley, since we have these every spring - probably much like those building houses along the fault lines in Califonia - till something like this happens and turns your world upside down.
And that pesky volcano is erupting in Iceland again, threatening to melt their world or bury it in ash..... -
Wow seeing the pictures on TV this evening.....the devastation is unbelievable. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those there.
