Doesn't look like that's going to make it up here til Thursday or so..... We're mostly just sunny and warm this week. Nice to get a few days without the crushing heat and humididity we normally get.....
Hey Mark..... I think you're the only guy I know who likes to see rain ( maybe farmers also). Gives you the opportunity to clean Poco afterwards.
Feeder bands have been tracking over my place for two days, the nearby creek is higher than I've ever seen it, the sound of water cascading from my property is at a dull roar. High winds yesterday broke a few trees. The red and orange splotches on radar won't be going away today.
Had high winds here yesterday. Broke the top off one of my trees (10" diameter). Had to fire up the chainsaw. Now I get to haul it all away. Took a walk around the house checking for wind damage. Found three groundhog tunnels, freshly dug, along the side of the house. Traps have been set.
I saw those on the TV while I was having lunch, but the sound was down so I could not hear what was going on (I was at the Pub). Looked like Dallas area from what I could see. How bad was it?? Jim
Overcast, humid but cool. All we got was drizzle the last 2 days, like it was just too humid for the water to stay in the air.... When the sun comes back it's going to be brutal for a day or two. Tomorrow our local MINI club is meeting up for a tour of the private Armacost Auto Museum, if allowed to take them, I'll have pics to post.
Drizzly here, but radar shows the worst is past us. Going to wash the Clubbie as soon as I can see. Entered in the British car show today, with the Teardrop in tow. Post pics later. Mark
Big T-Storms last night, lightning and thunder for hours on end with short periods of heavy rain. Today, sunny, clear and very nice with temps only in the 70's to low 80's! One of about 14 nice days we get here every year! The KC MINIacs are going to a private car museum this afternoon, pics if I'm allowed to take them.
Looks like we have a healthy storm coming up the coast and should supply us with a weeks worth of solid surfing without causing any threat
When you go camping and getting back to naure, do you have a wig you put on to look like that old picture you posted? :cornut: Jim
Raining in downtown Denver, but I'm holed up in Scottish pub where the bar maids are dressed in tartan Hooter's style garb. (-; Mark
We're having a beautiful fall day in KC, mid 50's and sunny... Tomorrow I leave for Vegas, where it will be in the low 100's...groan.....
