Best put the cat in the garage. Rodents can do lots of damage. Best find out where they are hiding. If you keep bird seed in your garage make sure is in a tightly covered metal can & clean up any spills.

 

I agree that you have rodents. Get a cat or 2...

 

I agree with MM. Put some moth balls in there. Also take a good look at your wiring, like spark plug wires. They love to shew on them. Had the same problem once with little field mice looking for a warm place to live.

I have two plug in ultrasonic rodent repellers in the garage and haven't seen any evidence of the little criters since.

 

I can bet you will not get that fixed under a warranty claim. All the above advice is good.

I watch out for mice and bats. Really can mess up things, but I don't let my cats in the garage, they can scratch MINI paint.
