I have web spokes since new. 50k miles on them now. The only issue I have is the peeling clear coat on the lip. Some scratches and such from normal use. Otherwise they have survived surprisingly well. In the same time I am on a 3rd set of cheap rims on my other Mini and the last set had at least two wheels fixed by now.

 

Nice choice of wheels I've had mine on since new now with 36,000 miles and two different sets of tires installed. Staying away from curbs and having a good tire installer who has a machine that is gentle on the rims has helped.
