What happens on the Dragon.... Stays on the Dragon.....:ihih: I did see several vehicles crossing the double yellow line though....:mad5: You can go to http://www.killboy.com/, to the Friday, Oct 21 group of cars between 2pm and 4pm (page 8).... What he said Gotta find the camera. Did not see any MINIs crossing the lines but had one butt-hole biker pass not one, not two but three cars!!!!! What an a-hole!
I agree.... No MINI's were seen acting bad.... A few bikes, one pulling a little trailer, a couple of vans, and a guy in a big A$$ Cadillac....

Sorry for the delay. We had a large group (134) in maybe 75+ cars. Had a cookout Friday night in GSMNP. All cars left Deals Gap on Saturday morning together. On 4 separate runs. See club website with pictures here (note, it is free to register as a member to see the postings): 2011 MINIs Slay the Sleeping Dragon I led this year's Blimey's Tiny Tour of Terror which was a 210 mile, 6.5 hour loop of the Hellbender, Dragon, Chilahala Skyway, Wayah Rd., Hwy 28. We started with 21 Minis and after peeloffs, ended the run with 16. Some of these drivers were newbies to the Dragon and the entire area, impressive! Come join us next October for MSSD 2012. Also, join us for the Blue Ridge Parway Tour 2012 (June 15th-17th). Jeff Cole, driving TURBOMINI THMMC Treasurer
Nice pic's Mr.Jim, thanks for sharing. I didn't take too many since it was too hard to take the pic's and stay on my side of the crooked road....
This was my second event with THMMC, and it was an absolute blast. My son was my passenger, and we decided to go for the gusto and do Blimey's Tiny Tour of Terror. What a great drive. Before starting, we were worried about it being too long and tiring. Towards the end, we were sad that it was almost over. At one point when we were starting on Wayah Road, a group of 6 of us got separated from the pack. First we missed a turn, then we had a slow SUV in front of us for a while. Emilee in her car Mildred did a great job in front of our MINI mini-pack playing catch up with the main group. That stretch was one of the most fun during the whole weekend. On Sunday, we had a larger than expected number show up to leave Fontana to drive the Hellbender, the Dragon and then a twisty route to Clingman's Dome. Jack$0n wasn't fooling when he said he was going to be a bit spirited in his driving as leader. The area around Clingman's Dome was jam packed with RVs and leaf peepers/pickers. After stopping for a short while at the top, a bunch of us formed a caravan to head back to the eastern parts of NC. All-in-all, it was a great weekend.
We (Conrita1&2) were able to stay longer so we had time to take that long walk to the top of Clingman's Dome. We were rewarded the hike back down with a bear sighting. The bear was about ten feet off the path, up in a tree, munching on those red ashberries (?). Tomorrow, I'll try to post pics. It was a great run (thanks, Jackson).
