It's too late now, but you could always hope for the salt to corrode some of the electronics. You can kick back at the beach and wait for it to happen.

Hmmmm.... I wonder if MINI anticipated wet conditions for the key? If you believe the advertisements for the Vert and the goofy Openmeter. Maybe the key is water resistant?

My son dropped his cell phone in a bucket of water. It went all the way to the bottom. He quickly retrieves it and attempts to use it. NADA. Just before he launches it through the wall, I grab it, open it up,battery out,hair dryer x5min,works like a charm.:cornut:
