Seems like a fuel problem. Filter or injectors dirty. Pump bad.
When you push the peddle your getting more air but not the fuel and it bogs. In the carb days it was filter and fuel jets getting dirty.
I'm not a gen 2 person but have a question, do you think this problem before had anything to do with you having to replace your motor?
The reason I ask is knowing the gen 1 fuel systems, if the vacuum line to the fuel regulator comes off, it causes a lean out situation, the motors won't bog, but that could simply be the difference in how a turbo car reacts to the problem vs an S/C car.
Just a thought since it does sound fuel related, but like I mentioned, I'm not up on my gen 2 fuel systems.
I'm honestly not sure if it had anything to do with it. I hope to help it didn't. I don't even have this moor paid off yet lol. I'm off for the holidays for 2 weeks so I'm gonna mess around with it and bring it to my shop that installed the motor and see what they have to say about it.
Is it a delay between stepping on the gas and getting power? If that's what you mean, it could be a clutch or flywheel that's going. I had mine done last year on my 08 MCS.
No, that's not it. Just replaced my clutch in February. Basically if I step on the gas slowly it'll be just fine, but if I mash the gas to the floor or even push it too quickly it'll bog down (like its not getting fuel) I've been told its a good chance its got carbon build up. Its gotta be either that or something with the fuel. Probably get it cleaned first since it most likely needs to be done anyway then go from there.
Stopped by my local shop today. Turns out its a bad Coil. Trying to decide to go with OEM $53 cheapest I've found or Facet $33. I will be replacing all 4 of them so that saves me $80. Recommendations? Yes? No?
