OK OK.....snuck up on the MINI and grabbed a quick shot before it knew what I was doing.....

It doesn't show the coolant stain I have yet to clean up. I forgot to set up the drool cup.

Making MOTD kid- and pet- sitter plans now...

"If it uses lipstick or a dipstick, it's gonna give you trouble" <-- love that.

Just dropped my car off at a local detailer, same shop that does the local Lexus, Toyota and Volvo dealerships - got a discount through a friend and couldn't resist. I've seen their work and frankly I'm a little giddy. And yes, I just said "giddy". Wow. No, it won't add speed, but it'll make me smile bigger.

Vacuumed and polished the interior. Waiting for mats to dry, then a coat of Back-to-Black (I'll get some Black-Wow at MOTD). Then all that's left is a wax with Banana Gloss. No rush there. I have plenty of time left. :D

 THAT... about says it all, my friend!

I put a whole new suspension on the Brave Little Trailer ("BLT"), and among other things (like supercharger oil), Jason helped me replace the defective pulley on my supercharger. The NERVE of that factory putting on one that's 15% too large!

On The List, other than loading 150 pounds of Bingo apparatus, a Pinewood Derby track and assorted Dragon Draggin' debris, is new LED lighting for the BLT, and Friday The Mini goes to have the inside detailed - first time - cannot WAIT for that! While I've kept it pretty clean for a daily driver, this place is known for really bringing 'er back. We shall see!

MOTD prep is always about 2 months of planning for me, but this year I crammed a bunch of extra stuff.
Besides doing my normal stuff, preparing my menu's and regular car maintenance. (oil change, tires & such)
This year I've gotten rid of all the plasti-dip and repainted all those items, I'm finishing up some lighting projects (hid change overs) tail light & side marker films, plus all the things associated with the Sprintex change, like getting the tuning done & even doing some touch-up painting & cleaning under the hood.

Not to mention I always bring too much "just in case" stuff.

This detailer preps used cars for the local Lexus and Toyota/Volvo dealer, so I'm having them do the same thing to mine. No Armor-All or shiny lotion, just good, honest "clean". I mean, I keep it clean, but the Checkmate cloth picks up marks from just sitting on it, and the interior's 6 years old now, so it's time for a professional "refresh". they also do the little doordings and such on the outside. I'll see it in a couple hours, and cannot wait!

It's weird, I generally do all the work on my car (everything I'm capable of, perhaps more accurately everything my friends and I are capable of, and I have talented friends who do things like supercharger oil changes!), so this is the first time I've completely contracted out something I thought I could do myself... we'll see... <nervous twitch>
