    Very nice Jim!

Ok, last car prep is tomorrow... Driving up to one of my MINI shops for one more oil change (switching to Amsoil for my baby and not that BMW ****) and a new filter for my JCW intake

 It's wierd quoting myself, I feel like it's a posting faux-pas' or something.
Even with all the stuff I already planned to do I got a little crazy last w/e and cracked open my headlights to do my "very first" Joey Mod, and while I was in there I added some led's to my projector trim ring. Yes it all went great and I'm even going to get in there again this w/e to change something thats bugging me, considering it was my first one and only 2 weeks before the Dragon, I may want to consider having my head examined when I get back.

Do you have any pics of Joey Mods?

I just read about this mod yesterday, thinking of doing one as well.

    Thanks

Was sick and couchbound last Friday-Sunday, and on the road working much of this week.

So my 4-5 days of prep time have been slashed to maybe 2 days. Will have time for the bare essentials, but probably won't have time for a full detail w/polish this year. Oh well.

    Blimey will look "driven". :)

Only time I ever won a car show award at MOTD was as Dirty Dog immediately following the Dukes of Hazzard incident. After that, Blimey let himself go.

Picked up an oil filter at the dealer and then went to Jegs main store a big old jug of Royal Purple Oil in preparation for an oil change.

Shhhhh...don't tell jbewley I'm changing the oil at like 800 miles. Thats not a typo...I did say 800.

Myself - Get extra sleep almost every day for about two weeks ahead to make sure I am good and rested before staying up too late and getting up too early for a week.

My MINI - Sent it for 2 months of Spa treatment in the capable hands of Chad at Detroit Tuned.

How did I prepare? Can I change that to how WILL I prepare? I haven't exactly started yet. I have a brand new passenger side CV axle sitting on my kitchen table, I hope to install that this week. Maybe throw a coat of wax on if there's time. Other than that, nothing! Looking forward to some spirited motoring with my MINI friends!

Getting an oil change next week. I have four new Continental Extreme Contact DWS that will go on at that time.

Going to have my front bumper repainted (clearcoat issues), rotate/balance the tires along with an alignment. Install a DOS CAI (w00t), and I'm sure there is something else I'm missing.

For d'Mini, a new set of Yokohama Avid Envigors (early enough to break in well) and a 10th annual MOTD UJ grille badge. For me, I'm lying sleepless, thinking about ways the exhaust sound-off can go wrong.......:eek:ut:

Yer gonna love 'em. They're a great "Sport Grand Touring" type tire, quite responsive enough without that "edge" and noise that can get really tiring...

I'll have to see if I can get a pic, what with the MINI being so camera shy.....:biggrin5:
