Took the Mini out of the storage building for the first time since starting treatments five weeks ago. As long as I keep the torque steer under control I can drive her for 20-30 miles at a time. Felt good to be behind the wheel after being stuck driving the Suburban back and forth to the hotel that the VA puts me up in. Only two weeks to go. The Mini needs a bath terribly, but it's gonna have to wait for a couple more weeks before I can get the detail guy out to the house.

A bath is all I've been able to do with my MINI as of late. The boot isn't big enough for all the open house signs I'm always dragging aroung, Argh! But loving the new gig! 2 contracts closed the first month. Hopefully Rogue will forgive me!

Well, my patience is finally being rewarded. USPS is delivering some new Cravenspeed bits today. Garmin GPS and Scangauge II mount, stubby antenna, and new shift knob on this trip. New JCW Pro all weather floor mats are due Friday. I know I don't have a JCW, but the guy that ordered the car ordered the JCW interior option which includes JCW sills, steering wheel, and shifter knob and boot. Today I ordered a set of the Mini mud flaps. I had them on my R56 and liked them so this was a no-brainer for me. Next week I'm planning to order the Cravenspeed intake and the NM Engineering power module. Now, if someone would make a reasonably priced exhaust system I would be set. I'm helping my buddy complete the installation of his new lift this week so I thought I'd let him help me with some installation work. All I can really do is hold the tape measure and levels to get it squared up, but I'm sure he couldn't get it done without my expert supervision. After all he was only a Major. Gotta have a Senior NCO to make sure thing run smoothly and the beer doesn't run out.

Custom catback in full stainless. 2 resonators where factory muffler/resonator is with DTM upturned, slash cut tips. All for the low, low price of the cheapest premade catback.

Moved it from out front on street parking to the out back break into me parking to accommodate the city's need to run new power lines on new poles we don't really need.
Moved it back out front where it's only subject to parkor and hit 'n run drunks. Its safer there.
No sarcasm, for the most part I do enjoy living in such an urban environment.-

This is a CPO car that one of the dealer employees had on a short term lease. It had a little over 5K miles when I got it. The picture of the rear with the white "accent" is the way it looked when I got it. Why anyone would paint that white is beyond my ken. I had it painted body color on the dealer's dime while it was in the shop. Looks much better now.

Took the three banger back to the dealer and swapped it for my car. Had lunch with my Son, and on the way home I stopped by my favorite Indi mechanic/technician and had him install my Cravenspeed short shifter. Love the shifter and Cravenspeed shift knob. Very positive feel and super short throw, kinda like a fat seven position toggle switch.

Attempted to take the Rat on its last club run of the year, but it was too cold in the sticks for the tires to warm up and get any grip. Lots of tire smoke if I tried having any fun. [emoji20]
Sadly Katie couldn't make it either, but next time. [emoji2]

Did a pre-plan with my buddy for my R53 suspension upgrade project. I'll be installing the Greene camber plates, GP trailing arms and new sway bar end links. I need to get the bushings and end links, and am still pondering what to do with the struts. I'm leaning heavily towards Colin's coil overs...
