    Got Gnat Back!

New clutch, new rear swaybar bushings.

No more talking to the car nicely and fiddling with the shifter, gas and clutch pedal to get into first. No need to double clutch going up the gears.

No more clunk in the rear.

Discussion about clutch and why it went so soon coming. Have to head back over to visit with Anson at Best Motor Werks to take pictures. Then will write up this little adventure.

Getting geared up for a run to Indian Lake later today - meeting up with my dad and brother.
My grandfather had a big lake-front house in Russell's Point back in the 50s within walking distance of an amusement park. So many wonderful childhood memories of that place - dozens of gleaming mahogany Chris-Crafts along the pier, a little kiosk on the corner with giant brightly colored lollypops, his shiny red '56 Pontiac Safari wagon fitted out for camping, the smell of sawdust in his wood shop, coloring books and crayons on a braided wool rug and a huge bookcase with a complete collection of National Geographic, Zane Gray and Louis Lamour.
It's all long gone now, but the memories remain.
Looks like a fine day for a top-down cruise through the hill farm country.

Since I can't yet drive again, I've been fitting my new wooden Mountney wheel to my Classic.

Took the MINI to the shop this morning....
Met some old buds... Met a new bud...
We all went to Tommy's for breakfast...
Do like their waffles and bacon...
Stopped by Keen's on the way home... Saw another old bud in the process of becoming a new bud....
All is well in the universe...:D

Why would anyone ever put Plasti-Dip Lamborghini wheels.:mad2:

If you can afford a Lamborghini your can afford to have your rims powder coated which is the right way to change the color of rims.

Had a great time at the annual VBAC "all British" car show here at home! Lots of great cars and folks in attendance, including four Classic Minis and four modern MINIs...

I was honored to take first with my Classic and make a few new friends along the way. A great time had by all!

Attended my first MINI "Meet & Greet" with members of DC Metro Minis at MINI of Sterling (VA). Nice people and great stories, particularly about the Dragon. We took goofy 'British' pictures in front of the dealership's "Not Normal" sign. What did I get myself into?

^^^^ Welcome to M/A the FUN Mini site.

Yesterday I took my MINI out burned off soon fuel and METH and decided to pick up some oil filters at the local dealership and bumped into a few old friends.
One person pulled up to the dealership and asked me if my car was a new 2014  I said no it's an 8 year old 2005.
