If you do a search for curb ramps you will find many solutions. Although they aren't inexpensive.

All the above ideas don't work, tell her that the repair costs come out of her paycheck not yours and don't negotiate. It does work.

I was just looking up gasoline taxes and Pennsylvania has the highest in the country. Whoops, one article says Pennsylvania is the most and another says California.

We're expecting the first significant snow of this year over the weekend, my poor MINI lives outside, along with the wife's Allroad. I keep telling her we need to build a 20X25 annex on the back of the garage so I can move all my car stuff in there and she can put her car back in the garage, but so far she's not having it.

wmwny Well-Known MemberActually, the tires were 8.4 years old but had nearly new tread since, with 3 MINIs, I don't drive the S in winter much anymore. Even so, that said, the guy who installs my tires was pretty leery about installing them and told me they might last thru a snowless Winter. Fat chance, with our on and off OH winters, so I was on the lookout for decent snows, bought them and had them installed yesterday.

When I was rebuilding my Indian my stepdad brought me some brand new tires from the stock he still had. Of course this was stock from the 50's but hay they are new! Needless to say they are sitting in the garage. Not only are they hard as a rock but they are old bias ply!

Me and a couple of other MINI drivers got up at the gawdawful hour of 5:00am and met up someplace in the outskirts of town, then motored in together to downtown Vancouver BC to deliver some toys to the annual Christmas Wish toy drive. We had breakfast together and then went our separate ways.

Why kill the brand? Just do a redesign. The BMW faithful pitched a fit over the Bangel Butt. BMW finally listened and starting making nice cars agin. All they have to do is make one car true to mini heritage. Then make all the other modules you want.

I believe BMW originally bought Mini for a quick way to comply with the CAFE standards. Perhaps now that they share engines with BMW they don't need Mini any more.
