Good call on getting those replacement certificates for the new JCW tires Don. I always get those when I buy new tires. It has always paid off for me.

You should be good with the chain but the guides should be done around 80K. You’re good for a while. -

Here in the great state of Ohio the state troopers always have the latest & greatest so they can levy the speed tax. The trouble is they pass their old equipment to the smaller counties & communities. Didn't take long before everyone had those tax collecting machines.
Not sure if anyone around these parts uses vascar. That one defeats all detectors. I have a friend who beat a vascar ticket. He convinced the judge the policeman was in error due to his bright halogen lights on his Porsche. Halogen, LOL it was long ago when sealed beams were standard equipment.-

Lee I know the feeling & it's not a good one. It won't be long until the hoods of cars are sealed. There will be a label that says NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. There will be a phone number to call for support 1-800-$$$-$$$$.
New cars are great, but they don't make it easy for an old fart.

Yep. 79 was the last year on the carb 308’s. In 80 they went to fuel infection to comply with EPA standards. This caused a loss in HP. In 82 they introduced the Quatrovalvole. It gained back the HP lost due to fuel infection. ]@Minidave I’m not sure but 76 may have been the last year of the fiberglass cars. Those are very sought after and carry a big price tag. Thanks for the answer on the 3v that makes sense
I got the S2000 back. They said it was the rubber pad on the clutch peddle. I don’t see how. The clutch switch is at the top of the clutch travel. With the clutch pedal up it pushes the switch in. When you push the clutch down it releases the button and you can crank the car. With the pad gone it never engage the clutch button. So you should be able to start the car with the clutch up. It does not make sense.
