So did the problem happen when she was in the middle of the street race or after? :D My dad was always into cars but I don’t know if he realized how my mom drove. She was insane. I loved riding with her. Once on the way to get food we were in one of my dads cars, a Triumph I think I was very young, and she got in a race with some dude. Later he had a 70’s Challenger with a 440. I would ask her to squeal the wheels, she would light them up alway down the road. To funny.

    Got ‘er done, mainly.
Took all of yesterday (Monday) and half of
    Sunday and half of today.
This is a staycation week for me.

Drilled through the bolt (actually mostly
just outside of the bolt as I had a very
hard time keeping the hole centered on the bolt, then tapped the hole and put a new
stud in (that took a good part of this am).
A 90 degree drill adapter was crucial for this
since I didn’t put it in service mode and
spacing was too tight for a drill otherwise.

Got it all together (except for the front upper
and lower heat shields and the top oxygen
sensor bracket to the tensioner) and refilled
and bled the coolant and topped off the oil
and it appears to be running soundly without
leaks or new noises or codes.

Still have a bunch of tools to sort and put
away, but none of the remaining stuff is urgent.

When I was done, someone had parked less
then 2 feet behind me, and I have 3 foot 2-piece
Race Ramps, so just when I figured I could
back up a little more then halfway down, set the
Ebrake hard, and use reverse to slide the
ramps forward out from under me (hold my beer
    and watch this), he left.

Mmmmmmm ….. less than the price of a new 4x4. You’re showing your age as new 4x4 trucks can easily go for upper five to six figures. :D:D

It's a great looking car, but at that price I'd think twice about driving it on back roads or not.

This is not about my MINI but yet it is. I took my MINI to a repair shop a couple of months ago to have a few things done and they did a good job. So i thought I'd try them with the wife's car (SLK350) . I picked up the car yesterday and they seemed to have done a good job except all the paper work say it's the MINI not the wife's car. You would think they would know the difference.

Is that for use with a powa warsher? I have one that goes on the hose, but it leaves a lot to be desired.

Looks like it does a nice job but sometimes looks can be deceiving. Does it really help with the washing your car ??

Just was wondering how your neighbors like the foamy residue running down the street gutters....

I have always wondered if it would dry on the car before I could wipe the car down and rinse it off.

That’s a shame. Had you driven in with that car and not your daughter do you believe the prognosis would have been the same ??
