Drove it to and from work and filled it up with another tank of 93.
Oh, and got to enjoy the roundabout on my way home too.

Today, a bunch of us MINI5280 folks took a nice long drive to the South of Denver, it was dry roads and good weather.

Sunday I get to clean both MINIs.

Giving GIR a bath before Saturdays C&C and found a stowaway

 

Got mine back from the body shop.

 

I took mine out today in the pouring rain and an aggressive alignment done for the Dragon.

The only thing I have left to do is oil and trans fluid change this weekend before a wash and wax next week and head out to Fontana Sunday April 27th.

 

Took mine to my body guy today. Removed old stripes and installed new Competition Stripes and Hashmarks. Painting calipers with G2 this weekend and hoping Uncle Sugar will deign to send me my refund so I can get my new wheels before MOTD.

 

Yep, that's what we call them....MoM Gang Stripes. It started after Nathan had them put on Gnat, then another set appeared on another MoM car, and then another and then..... Personally I see the reference as a compliment

 

Mom Silverbacks..... It's a gang thing...

 

Those stripes first appeared on the Detroit Tuned MINI at MOTD a few years back, then others stated with them too. A bunch of us in Mid-Ohio Motoring (MoM) added them and started calling them gang stripes.

Now you know the legend of the "Gang Stripes". It sorta makes sense since on the Corvettes they are Grand Sport stripes.

 

Got a compliment and was asked if it were a brand new one. Again.

 

Removing the seat adds 5 minutes to the job. buttonbag was robbed at gunpoint.

 

ROFLMAO! but I am right there with you. I despise this time of year and having to deal with the tree j!Zz everywhere.

 

Got new stripes on mine today.

 

Washed, polish buffed, applied sealer, and RainX and letting it sit over night in the garage. I also cleaned and dressed the inside including the glass and installed my V1 radar and my GPS mount.

Also installed my harness for the Dragon. :ihih:

 

Sorry but you really need to come to MOTD and taste real local Southern BBQ.

I am sure Cali BBQ can't touch the good old boys BBQ. :drool

 

Today I Packed the Mistress and added an extra case off beer. all I need to do now is get in and turn the key and go......:biggrin5:

I only have about 8 1/2 hours until I leave. But first I have having a nice steak Lunch, putting on the Flyers / Rangers game and going into a relaxing food coma /Nap.

After that it's just wake up, shower, have breakfast around 7 PM and leave for Fontana around 8- 8:30 PM tonight.

 

Finishing touches for the ride over Wednesday, just gotta pack it up.....

 

Drove home from the Dragon with two good friends and my son Blake. His first year driving the Dragon and not riding with me. He did great! Once again this past week reminded me why I continue to own a MINI, hang with MINI owners and friends and enjoy what this amazing car does for my mental health. Thank you everyone that made this week another great one!
