I believe I like the red intercooler boots better.

They tell you how easy it is to do banking etc. online but somehow fail to understand how frustrating and aggravating it becomes when the system doesn’t work correctly.

I've been down tinkering with the Mini and took off the intercooler for polishing. Does anyone know a good and easy way to reinstall it? It's a real bit** to get it back on.

Sorry about the funny, I am just glad I am not the only one that could not get them on. Every time I did it it was a fight.

It's hard to believe how much a new camera cost.

I see what checkers was saying about the cost of a nice camera.

Yes it is kind of crazy. A nice point and shoot is almost $1000. I would like to have a new iPhone 15 pro max just for the camera but $1100 for a phone, I just can’t do it.

I noticed one of the reverse lights in the back of my car had burned out, so since I was in the area, I stopped by my local MINI dealer and asked for a pair of bulbs (I would replace both). I confirmed that they were for the reverse lights in the back. So (new) parts guy went and got them. I reminded him that I usually get a discount here because my car is over 10 years old and the manager usually gives me a discount. Parts guy told me the discount was applied. I was suspicious since they came to $27 taxes included.

When I got home, I opened up the back and pulled out the bulbs and noted that they were the wrong bulbs. I guess I'll keep them, since they are the bulbs for the tail lights. So I got in my other car and drove to Lordco, looked up the bulbs and bought a pair. Total came to $2.50 (taxes included).

The other tail light bulbs were $8 each before taxes so the dealer price was not discounted. There is a reason dealers are often referred to as stealerships and it appears my local MINI dealer has adapted to match that reputation. :(

I’ve been thinking about getting a scissors lift so I don’t have be all hunched over when working on a car.
