I told her it would fit even checked with DT and they said it would fit. She has decided to wait till they can get one the same size as the other tires. I hate run flats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the second time this has happened to her. Last winter coming home from Trashville (Nashville) she hit a pot hole in the dark and the run flat split! she made it to a rest area and I went and trailered her home. This time it's a stick! All those years with both my R53 and R58 I never had run flats and did so many trips and never a flat. I think these run flats are CRAP. I believe a normal tire would have given and not failed. I think they are to hard and unflexible.

I agree completely they are disastrous tires! Hard to find and super expensive and for what?? Crap!

It has been a few days since my install and I have put some mileage on my Mini with my upgraded setup and I’m happy to report everything has been functioning perfectly as expected.

This is an expensive upgrade if you’re using brand new OEM components like I did but the end result is absolute OEM functionality which is what I wanted for my Mini. I’m very happy with the final result.

I have heard you can get some high HP out of those with just a tune. I believe it is the same tune used on the BMW.

Not that a did any mini stuff. Had a talk with my son about the Helmet. He needs a truck and said it’s kind of hard to maintain the Helmet at his apartment. So he is talking about fixing some small items and putting it up for sale. The short of it is I may just buy it back.

Well I got a call from my son today. A tractor trailer pushed him off the road. He said the guy in the truck was looking at him in the mirror. He scraped the fencing on the interstate. He said he has to hold the steering wheel to the right about 10 degrees to go straight. That’s not muck but something may be bent. It could have been worse. The damage does not look too bad.

its been awhile since i have done anything to post about. I installed the Leaf Works difusser this last week. I never understood why they didn't install one from the beginning. All that aero under the belly just to be wasted for that parachute of a bumper and trim at the end. I was going to attempt to fabricate my own but the more I studied this one the m ore I was sold on it. There were a few things I had to modify, I am sure for my own satisfaction, but I well say this is a quality part. My body man was impressed.

After seeing your photos I looked up the Leap diffuser and watched a Tweedbean video of him installing one. They look very sharp….pricey…but sharp nonetheless.

Well yesterday was a 3 hour ride to mini dealership in Pensacola Fla because there is no more mini dealership in Louisiana (sad) but it was a fun ride and they finally have the fix for the footwell module recall and at same time they will see about my radio issues with no FM or my satellite not working? And then when I left my cigarette lighter in middle stopped? That where my GPS is plugged into… and get this each diagnostic charge is separate lol $190 for each lol! I also got there for 9am and they didn’t start on it until 3pm and I had to leave it there and get a rental car $98 for the 3 hr ride home and it should be ready by Wednesday hopefully! Then rent another car $98 to go 3 hrs to pick it up lol!

Price was an issue. I had purchased a used bumper skin to attempt to make my own. I just think I was going to get the visual appearance like the Leaf. Tweedbean's video sold me on the diffuser. I didnt keep the GP trim like he did, look unfinished. I used stock trim that left a gap (left) but with a little heat (right) I got them to sit flush.

IMO the mounts could be moved towards the rear allowing a tighter fit against the bumper skin. Over all I am happy with the out come. Trying to decide what to do next, a Coolerworx shortshifter or a splitter.

Coolerworx shifter, from what I have read, would make missing a shift a distant memory but you have to carve up your console and they are a bit on the ugly side. The splitter would go nicely with the diffuser.

Update on the Helmet. My son called today. He said that he found the left front wheel was lose causing the steering problem after the accident, all the lug nuts were a little loose. He said it is driving fine now. The car will be coming home and he plans to buy a truck. For now that will be more practical.

Good news !! Now you can move that red Italian car out of the garage to make a spot for Helmet and since your watch cat is familiar with that car there won’t be any problems.
