Started the day off with a run in the Porker up the back way into Estes park... There were really no places plowed to pull over, but I found a few...

    Best pictures of the day...

Then went down Big Thompson Canyon into Loveland on the way home. There was absolutely no place to stop, but the drive was beautiful!

Messed around at home for a little bit, then headed down to Fort Carson to have dinner with my army guys before they ship off to Kuwait.

All in all it was a fun day... Tomorrow I'll be working on a friends R53... Got to get it ready for the trip to the Dragon! [emoji12][emoji236]

I've owned my MINI for 2 weeks so I decided to take him in to the MINI Dealer in Jersey for a safety inspection. Scheduled maint. it needed oil changed, break fluid changed, and a few minor things. Guy told me the original owner got an extended 7yr/100k extended maint. but he had to find out if that carried over to me. And it did!! I was so happy to hear that. So maint is covered until 2019 or 100K. Saved me almost $400 today. Multi-point inspection told me I need 2 new rear tires and an alignment. I'll shop around for tires this weekend.

Overall mega happy with their service and surprisingly good instant coffee machine. So happy for the extended maintenance too LOL

Got the Mini spiffed up today and it was such a beautiful day, I thought I'd ride out to my summer cottage and make sure the pipes didn't freeze. :D

This could be all yours. All it needs are some flames on the sides.

Welp, with a last minute call to Dave.0 for some pointers and another dose of that how-to video I tackled some scratches and got the touch up paint warn down so I can keep dropping more on (I did go back and hit that one to the far left once more). The scratches though still there, are significantly less noticeable, it was hard to get one on camera. That split photo is the after wet sanding left, final polish right..I may or may not try and get them down some more. The chips are a work in progress. I did polish on that side too, but it's not finished so not going to show that till it's all finished.

I think we're going to cross the 250,000 mark before MTTS. Probably before or during The Great Canadian Bacon Invasion Rally to the West (feeder rally to MTTS west).

    LET'S DRIVE!!!!

Put the snows on the two R53s today, as the weather tonite thru the rest of the week seems to want to be wintry. The R50 will stay in the garage, as I only drive it in the wintertime when it's a sunny day and the roads are clear.

Today we had a 1/2 day so we could get together with co-workers for a holiday luncheon. Our little group picked an old English pub in Philly. I drove my car to the near by train station and took the train to the city. No I do not take my car into the dump that is Philadelphia.

Had a nice burger and chips (fries) and a few nice free Guinness drafts. A good time was had by all.

My poor MINI is still at DFW airport. I hope it doesn't find out I've been cheating on it with a 1970 Ghibli, and an Austin Healy, and a 1910 Cadillac. All nice cars, BTW, but the caddy was stunning! 108 years old.

Woohoo! Got my Milltek fixed today. The cut off my resonator..car is a tad louder now, but worlds apart than what it was when I drove it to the shop. $30 is all it took and about 20 minutes! Now, on to an oil change and a tranny flush.
