In a few minutes mine will be magically transformed from fun mobile into grocery getter. I don't like relegating her to such mundane chores, but I sold my pickemup truck last month and my son's borrowing the Suburban for the next couple of months. I hate grocery shopping, but I'm out of beer and snacks. :( I'm holding off scraping the bugs off her until I install my new wheels next week.

Strut braces, well IMO the MINI has a pretty stiff structure as is. That being said adding something that may add more rigidity isn't a bad thing. My MINI has one, but to tell the truth you'll benefit more from a rear sway bar than a strut brace. If you have enough bucks buy both.

Not so much what I did to either Mini today, as much as it is what I added to the Toy Hauler.

While we've proudly displayed our M/A sticker and other sanctioning bodies for the past couple of years, I finally got to add the track graphics for Mid Ohio and Sears Point.

Can you name the five tracks on the window?

And on a second note, you know how Minis and their owners are, neither can pass up an opportunity for a photo op...

I parked my MINI outside so it can get rained on. (Wax test)

Plus I have a friend bringing his 02 S over for a two day spa session in my garage today.

Full detail on a silver MINI with a huge Black roof (No Sunroof) and it lives outside 24/7.

Time to turn back the clock with some major paint correction, maybe wet sanding, buffing and sealant / wax. It will look 2002 new or better when I am done.

    Discount Tire FTW!

Went over to the good folks at Discount tire, had the tires on the Blu one flipped on the rims balanced & rotated all in 35 minutes! Now they are quiet & oh so smooth.

Took Skooby there next, balance & rotation in 30 minutes, once again smooth. Man the Discount Tire crew does good work. Plus it was all free!

Took the r53 to my dads to drop off my new to me snow tires/wheels. Don't need to mount them for a month or so yet. Then chased him in his 996 as we went out to lunch this afternoon.

Man Dave this sounds like being married!

Being marred you need an open mind, be relaxed and just enjoy it. You have to first realize you are never going to win so just enjoy the game.

Its been getting cold here and I don't want to get stuck on my Dunlops in the cold weather. I will save that tread for the Dragon. :ihih:
Plus my bones are old and I hate working on my car in the cold.

So yesterday drove my older son back up to the MINI dealer to close the deal on the FJ Cruser. Of course we went in the mini. I backed it in opposition all the new minis. They just stared at each other. My MINI was the only one parked oppitset of them, it was easy to see who the pick of the litter was.:D
Made a deal on the FJ it's the first time my son has baught a car! Big shout out to our motoring advisor Ashley for making it a good experience.

If Toyota would have made the FJ with a solid front axle, and a removable top and doors... There wouldn't be a Jeep in my driveway!

Dude say what you will but I love those S-Anchors as Winter beater rims, since they are so easy to clean.

FYI~ those Michelins Pilot Sport A/S tires suck. They slide and screech when pushed hard unlike the Dunlop's on the same road pushed even harder.
