Had some downtime....opened the mod vault & finally did this ancient TT boot mod.

Amazed it needed no cutting like many had w/ the Tiburon Tuscani boot. Just had to sleeve a half inch fuel hose through the boot. Perfect fit, just another bad pic.:D

Designated driver for a fund raising event (5th grade football team) in Olde Town tonight. Note to self....5 inch platforms a poor choice. Take sneaks next time.:frown2:

:lol::lol::lol: That R56 is blown up and has been sitting for a long time.

Craston: Was the timing chain rattling? Yup and the end of one of the guides was so worn thin and brittle when we took it out and set is on the bench a piece broke off. the rest just lifted off. I caught that right in time at 89K. :ihih::Thumbsup:

2 brand new OEM guides and one new OEM timing chain tensioner and my 3k oil change and she is silent again.

Oh and its also cool to only pull the hand brake 2 clicks and have it fully engaged. Unlike it was before with one broke cable and I could pull it up to the armrest.:eek6::rolleyes:

Wow! How about that all you vendors who sell this junk? Why don't you do the right thing and remove this junk from your catalogues and post a warning instead?

Took the Mini out and fed and watered it. Wish this was the high test price.

Nasty looking Spider, harmless yes?

On topic, took Scooter my 07 to Cars and Coffee Lafayette, CO this morning, it was a wonderful day filled with some nice examples. I took this picture as I was wrapping up.

Not often do you see two almost identical TRANS AMs side by side, we had 3 good examples today.

    Full public album, Enjoy!

Today I took my MINI for a ride deep into South Philly to go to the Italian Market. Oh my God the roads in the city are horrible. :incazzato:

We also stopped by Tony Luke's for a real Philly cheesesteak.

Sometime back, my buddy & I snagged some hobo Stagg struts off eBay for cheap. We learned why....the rod tip was oversized & didn't fit our strut mounts.:( That never discouraged us as we wanted to experiment, test how far these would go & how they would feel vs. OE.
That same bud finally found some downtime to mill the excess rod diameter to fit our mounts. Below are some pix, better than mine coz he shot em.:)
    Shaving:

Stagg on left vs OE on right. Why the smaller diameter threaded part is the headscratcher. Maybe that's the upgrade: Lightening:D

    Rears were fine:

Why not return em, you ask.....we're not proud, but admittedly, hobos.:)

I have a Non OEM Pilkington & it really isn't any better than the oem one as far as chip resistance goes. It is a lot cheaper & that worked for me. :D

Yesterday washed the Blu MINI to rid it of all the road crud accumulated last weekend in the Ohio hills of course it now wears a nice coat of Hydro.

The day before Skooby got a detailing. The poor Miata sits in the garage feeling neglected.
