So, my MINI had winter tires swapped out a few weeks ago at the local tire store. and something my husband paid for on both MINIS was never installed so here we are taking both MINIS back to said tire store and lo and behold they cross threaded my rear tire, which they can't fix. The brakes store recommended to us was, let's say less than desirable so we took my MINI to the dealership to ensure proper MINI OEM would be installed. As of 2 full days at the dealership, an oil leak has been found somewhere, serpentine belt is cracked, brake pads and rotors? need replacing. Um, my Coupe has 20,000 miles on her:incazzato::crazy::cryin::incazzato::mad2:
Well at least, it's under warranty. Most of it.

Bought some H-sport control arms, Powerflex control arm bushings, new OEM ball joints (All 4), cravenspeed short throw and well cover.

Packed my race built cylinder head so Way can refresh it.
Packed my Supersprint header to send off to Swaintech for ceramic coating.

Stared at all the parts sitting in my office waiting to be installed (dreaming about driving it through the canyon this summer).

Time to get dirty! About to rack her and pull the oil pan for custom baffling.

Hopefully have this thing done and at the Dragon this year!

Yeah I went drifting it around the switchbacks on Lookout Mountain (uphill from Golden)... Small inputs of throttle right before the apex results in a nice tail out slide! :D At the house we got little to nothing sticking to the roads, but it will all turn to ice before work tomorrow. :(

If I where you (or anybody else) I would do the right thing first time and have Jan (RMW) do all the tuning. ;)

Took advantage of a vacation day as well as the near 70° temperature and clear skies to change the oil and filter in the MINI. Usually do the service in my garage, but it is just too nice of a day not to do it in the driveway and put on a show for the folks who are moving in across the street. It was really soothing laying on my back waiting for the oil to drain and watching the blue sky and the few clouds. Sure beats going to work!

I was stopped at a traffic light and a Countryman pulled up beside me. When the light turned green, I let the fellow MINI driver pull away first and noticed the LED tailights and realized it wasn't a Countryman at all, but a F56 MINI. :blush2:

Oh...I wasn't driving my MINI, I was driving my Fiero, which sits lower. I'm not involved much with the MINI club activities here this year but the Fiero club does an annual toy and food delivery run to one of the radio stations Christmas campaigns.

Drove over to my other house (old childhood house) and shot a couple pics in the same spot where I took photos of my 71 2002 some 35 years ago. The house is in escrow now and I thought it'd be a cool thing to have as a memory.

I used the bonnet of my '70 to stack some packing blankets. I know, but it's covered and it is a flat spot after all...
