Drove the Blu one over to a my friends house. His wife drove me to his Porsche mechanic to pick up his 996. He's in Italy so I got the job.

I have a new respect for those who rally Porsche's. The roads were snow covered up where the mechanic is, I was driving sideways to go straight. Should have been fun, but those steamroller sized summer tires just suck. Made it to his house OK. Got in my MINI & dented the floor under the clutch peddle. Much lower effort needed for my MINI clutch. :)

This afternoon, while watching my daughter's county swim meet, I texted, then called Jan and ordered a Vipec I-series, OS Giken, and "Big Lift high duration especially for BVH" cam. I can tell the dragon is getting close because there is Easter candy for sale in the grocery store.

Today I drove down to Helix to hang out and drop off my wife's leftover cookies. Yeah it was another nice size box full of different kinds. Feeding your local shop is always a good idea.

I found a cracked grounding point on the aluminum engine mount that Eric fixed without having to buy a 100.00. Simple fix drill anoter hole on the engine mount and use a new nut and bolt.

    (Issue resolved)

Took my S out for a 100 mile drive to visit a sick friend and his family. They are hurting healthwise as well as financially, so I took them today's dinner...fresh sliced beef brisket bbq sandwiches for the adults and chicken fingers for their little boy. What a nice day...sunny and a somewhat warm 48 degrees. After chowing down, my buddy and I sat on his front porch and made a burnt offering of a coupla cigars to the "sure hope Spring comes soon" gods!

^^^ It's guys like you who bring the bad weather. You have now guaranteed us foul weather with salty slush on the roads. I'm releasing my angry pigeons to search out your MINI for a bombing run.

Nope...MY S is neatly tucked away in the garage, along with the Cooper, awaiting nicer weather. The wife said she didn't want me to wash her car, so I didn't [happy wife, happy life, ya know]. We'll see how happy she is when she learns it is HER car we'll be driving over the next few wintry days! :ihih:

    BTW...that poor lil Fiat....

Swapped in a JCW GP2 steering wheel in the Clubbie, and removed the flappy paddles.

Hey take it easy on Firebro, some folks like bait fish..... :D

Yesterday drove the Blu one to my Doc.

Today drove the Blu one to the Vet. George the cat has no tolerance for rev limiter shifting. :)

Made an appointment to bring my car to Helix in Philly on March 9 to drop it there for the week while I go to Atlanta for work. Will be returning to a greatly "enhanced" version of La Mosa...

Yesterday I did not drive my MINI but I picked up a $170.00 ticket for not completely stoping at a stop sign. :mad2: (stupid me)

I was driving the wife's SUV and it was completely my fault because it stopped and made a right hand turn but I did not come to a full stop.

Anyhow the garbage disposal that I was going to Lowes for ending up costing me $309.00 and not the $139.00 I was planning to spend.

Anyhow the MINI is still in the garage nice and clean with no snow on it.

Yesterday... for the first time in two weeks, I drove it. All better after it's stay at the Helix MINI spa. It was getting fixed up after I ran over a giant piece of cast iron that was lying on the road.

Still waiting for my replacement VibraTechnics lower motor mount to come in, due supply lag. I forgot how much vibration was transmitted to the cabin with those BSH bricks of aluminum. Can't wait for that POS to go back on the Helix "reserve shelf."

Ordered the 215 45 R17 Dunlop Direzza Z2 Star Specs from Tire Rack using the MOTD sponsor link. Tires are shipping to Helix for La Mosa's 3/9 date with Eric and the Helix team for the enhancements.
