Drove the MINI to the Covette club dinner, how did that fly? :p

Am I the only one with a wife who thinks I drive to slow? I am usually 5 over...

Drove the Countryman to the DMV to get plates for the Jeep (last year for this chore). Then I stopped by JAX and looked at a nice little 22LR Ruger Charger. Could be fun.

Drove by a friends place, missed him and the family, he has the nicest 09 JCW Hardtop with only 3400 miles on it. I think he is saving it for his Granddaughter. :)

    :)

Drove mine yesterday for the first time in months. :D
Just as much fun as I remembered it to be, maybe even better!
Ordered LED taillights from ECS tuning. Too expensive? Maybe. But, she's been sitting quietly in my storage building for so long I figured she deserved a little present.

My MINI told me I needed to change the battery in my key fob..... So I did...:D

I'm keeping both my key fob and the MINI....

And I don't cry crocodile tears....

Gee...I'm hurt by all this carping.

I just put a "MOTOR ON" sticker on my wife's car today and installed the Rogue "Dragon Eyes", too...finally. On Wednesday, I'm getting the "AutoTragic" fluid changed at Best and they are also installing my used, but perfectly serviceable Euro Shelf.

    Life goes on. :cornut:

Dave, settle down and smoke a cigar!

What's all this "Stuff" got to do with "What did you do with your MINI today?"

Shouldn't it be under "Off Topic :: Fun and Games" or maybe "Weird MINI News"

And keeping with the subject.... Umm Yeah, I drove my MINI to work.... Very therapeutic I must say...:D

You should have hit the double parked Toyota instead of the pillar.

    Same damage, more satisfying.

Went to sick call at my local VA clinic to have a mysterious metal splinter removed from a recent skin graft. Mission accomplished, but still don't know the origin of said splinter.
Stopped bt Lone Star Steakhouse for some lunch and that too was nice... until I was leaving the parking lot. For Memorial Day they had set small 3' American Flags around the landscaped area of the parking lot. Looked nice until I noticed where some ****** had pulled a flag up and stuck it back in the ground upside down. Pissed me off! I corrected the problem and the Mini and I continued on home. I called the restaurant and suggested it was time to remove the flags anyway. Just wish I had seen the sumbeach that did it. No telling how long it had been like that.

It was a nice day for a drive though and I enjoyed taking the Mini out again. :D

Not today because I was back to work but, over the weekend...

Rat-MINI: Crank pulley swap gone wrong from Saturday afternoon to Monday morning... (See my thread for details soon) Then a nice 200 mile drive around the block for a test drive.

Porker: Needs an oil change again, turned 10,000 miles Saturday morning. That means I have measurements to take and give to Colin for future R60 products. :)

Installed my passenger side Recaro with the newly remade Wedge bracket. For those of you that saw the seats at Fontana, heard my complaints and saw the gaps for yourselves. Well, the fine folks at Wedge did right and rebuilt the brackets to my adjusted specs. The fitment is much nicer. Hopefully, tomorrow I'll be able to get the driver's seat reinstalled.

For now, here is the comparison: new vs. old.

Nice numbers for a stock car on a hot humid day!

Got called cute again... not me... GIR. Two young ladies pulled up next to us at a traffic light and the driver asked if I knew if it was raining (I had the windows half down, it was only sprinkling), I look around and informed her that I had noticed and I asked her why, she look at GIR and told me that I was getting my cute little car all wet. :blush2:

I'll bet they corner a lot better than the rear-wheeled trikes, though.

I was having some timing chain noise, so this weekend I installed new timing chain guides in the GP. Now I have to drop the oil pan and get the pieces out. Ordered a baffled oil pick up from Jan to install while the pan is off.

Today I said goodbye to my MINI. It was a bitter moment. I had so many good moments in that car and I just hope my next MINI will get here soon.
