Went down to the shop this morning.... Cut the grass in the back of the shop and the lot across the street.... Nice morning to get this done.... All the while letting the MINI cool down a little...

Removed the BOV and modified it so now it doesn't run the risk of the diaphragm rupturing...:D

The duct tape provided a third hand to keep the radiator overflow tank out of the way while removing the BOV...

Was going to put some of this in..... Except no earl filter was available.... Durn:eek:

Took all the belt line trim off my car today and pulled off the crappy Plati dip. Scuffed everything down with a scotch brite and prepped and taped everything off. Sprayed them down with SAE black self etching primer for aluminum, dried and cover them with two coats of SAE trim black. Trim looks so much better now.

I also night shaded some front bumper marker lights for the new aero bumper and blacked out a new pair of MINI emblems.

    40 really?

I know I was doing more like 85 - 95ish and saw triple digits in a few spots.

As for my current bumper, let's just say it's more white at the bottom then it is Chili Red. It's 8 years old and beat to hell so it's had a good life.

Do I regret killing it after I redid it before the Dragon? Not one bit , I had a blast.:lol:

    tWard....
I do like the absence of stripes on the hood.... It lets the contours on the hood show better without being interrupted by the stripes...

But I'm more impressed on how you are able to park your MINI on the garage ceiling.... You must have some very sticky tires....:D

Ordered a tensioner, crank damper, idler pulley, and 535 belt for my car.
Tomorrow I'm ordering a Helix or CravenSpeed 15% pulley too. Just depends on who can get it to me faster. Haha. Me and Dick are going hammer and tongs at it Saturday night.

Starting the detailing process to get the Helmet ready for the Dublin Show. Hoping that my sciatica calms down so that I can attend.

Took my S out into the rain today for a 20 mile spin to the dog park. Great walk with the pooch and the car loved the wet roads and a chance to see how the tires handled the ponding. All in all, a good day, a little wet, but a nice time out and about.

scheduled an alignment for next Wednesday - had no idea it was easier to get an appointment at the dentist than to have your Mini's wheels set straight by a trained professional who knows what the word "coilover" means.

I love it when a guy uses his car as a pickup truck. Particularly intriguing to see the Hazmat cargo in there!
