Was waiting for everything to get finished before posting, but here goes:

    SC Oil Service
    Waterpump
    Idler Pulley
    Alternator
    Tensioner
    Crank Sensor
    EBrake Cables
    Helix Short Shifter
    Powdercoated SC horns
    GP Intercooler
Replaced the Bosch 02 sensor w/ OEM - finally got rid of that pesky CEL
Added resistors for my Sparco seats - no more airbag light!

Got it back on the road today - so happy!

Due to water restrictions, we're not allowed to water our lawns. However, we are allowed to wash our cars. So I parked the MINI on the lawn and washed my car.

Gave "Stella," some attitude. ....H&R Sport Springs. 1.4-1.4. Had sport suspension, but this setup is much more compliant and smoother with the H&R's, and Stock B6 Bilstein dampers ... No more unstable hop while in a turn, going over bumps. :)

I got rid of the faded nasty black plastic on the roof rack cross rails on the Porker.

    Should look better now...

Still deciding if I want to color match the rails themselves to the body color.

Damn Paul..........you're apparently taking this a lot better than I would have. So glad to see that you are ok and totally bummed about the GPness. I am very impressed with the strength of the windshield frame as it appears that it is still in very good shape.

But on the bright side...( at least for those of us that enjoy living vicariously through your build thread).....now we get to enjoy another build thread!

We drove Walter down to the State Fair for some fair food and to see Cheap Trick and Peter Frampton. What a great concert.

Cheap Trick still puts on a great show even though the guys are in their 60's. Also they can still sing. Unlike some of the other older bands.

Peter Frampton is amazing. You could see it on his face that he was just enjoying playing and hanging out with the crowed. He went non-stop for almost 2 hours. If you ever get the chance to see him do so you won't regret it.

Yes I also ate the donut bacon cheese burger and once was enough.

Installed a new motor and regulator in the passenger door. It's amazing how much easier and quicker it went the second time around. Again..... remember there is a 5mm hex in the middle of those glass nuts. It makes the job so much eaiser. (Unless you have that special spanner wrench tool.)

Don't be too hard on yourself, Lee. It's one of those things you can't know until you've had them out. Unless of course, you bought new ones for some goofy reason to do the job. At any rate, it is a shallow hex. So, make sure you have the Allen wrench seated and square prior to "going for it." If the windows have never been out, they will be TIGHT. Just take it easy and watch your knuckles. Once they are loose the rest of it is easy-peasy.

I think the trailer hitch MAKES that picture. And the perfect sky background.

Finally got around to installing my new shift and parking brake boots.

Got them from MINI Cooper 2001-06 shift boot - RedlineGoods leather shift boot store and so far I am really pleased with the feel and look.

Shift boot was a straight swap, but the parking brake boot was a bit more involved as the oem one was glued on as well as using some tabs. I used some CA glue to attach it to the frame. Also had to do a tiny bit of snipping to get the new one fitted like I wanted.

If not for the very minor modding of the parking brake boot I would have given these a solid 5/5.

I took Pepper and went to the 'Cars and Coffee' in Cincinnati, Oh. I was flabbergasted...

When I pulled in, I saw the Lamborghini. and then all the Porsches...

And when the Lotus showed up...I was impressed.

And when my dream car showed up, an original Sunbeam Tiger, I had an orga........ . :)

BUT THEN, when the original Auburn Speedster pulled in, I knew what true LUST was.

AND THEN... AND THEN... A 1966 restored MOKE showed up...

    What can I say...
