Congrats! It surprised me how quick the F56 actually is in a straight line... A buddy's totally stock automatic ran a 14.4 at Bandemere during the big car show... Translate that to an altitude where there is actually air, and the car would be running somewhere in the mid 13 second range... Quick even for today's standards. [emoji2]

vetsvette MINI Alliance AmbassadorIt already has the Sport Suspension option. I'm still researching this option 226 to see what bits were changed. From everything I've read, it's a serious improvement over stock and is 20% stiffer than the variable dampers. And, thanks, I think. It get's delivered to my house Friday AM and I'm already thinking of mods. Need to just drive it stock for a while.... at least until I can sell off some of these R56 parts.

Stripped everything out of and off of the R56 that wasn't standard equip or bolted down. The dealer is getting way too much good stuff on the car as it is. I'm gonna have lots of bits and pieces to sell. Hate that I'm giving the R56 up with a full tank of 93 octane too. I briefly thought about driving the heck out of it today and using up some of that gas, but no, I don't trust my luck that much right now. Dealers bringing the new car to me tomorrow and picking this one up.
Sigh...

Today I pulled the MINI and the wife's car into the garage. Big deal because 3 months ago, my side of the garage was a knife making shop...

Had a great drive Saturday with a few friends. You know, It's a good idea when driving the back roads of south east Ohio in an import to have a "Don't tread on me" badge. The "good old boys" see it and wave. An American flag badge would work also, a rebel flag badge even better.

Great! No droning, but very loud. The overrun on the 05/06 models (this is an 06) sounds like gunshots which grabs maybe too much attention haha. I'll post up some driveby videos or something later this week. Getting ready for h2oi in OCMD

It was good meeting with you Don! And thanks!
It's weird how almost all of the Rat-MINI's original parts are going to other countries... First Chris (RallyMINI) snagged some suspension parts for the rally car, and now the wing is headed to Italy... I need to start selling them with a clause that says I have to go and install them! [emoji12]-

Took the car to my independent Mini shop to get a couple of things done. Installed Cravenspeed Garmin GPS and Scangauge II mount and hardwired the GPS. Note to anyone with a F56... the cigarette lighter/power outlet under the center stack is not switched power! Why they changed it I haven't a clue.
ut: Probably the same guy that moved the gas filler to the right side. Also installed mud-flaps.

Brought home the new 16 Countryman Park Lane on Friday, started at the dealer at 11:15, done by 1PM, got home at 4:30, wonder how that happened.
I will update my garage later tonight....
