Didn't pick up the Mini again today. They just started re-assembling it. I could have picked it up late this afternoon, but with the shop being 80 miles away, I didn't want to get caught up in the rush hour traffic through Raleigh/Durham.
Tomorrow... :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:
Once I pick it up the fun begins again. Diminished value claim. :mad2:

Had flat tire today. Turns out the air inlet valve had worked itself loose. I walked to a nearby gas station to see if they sold those valve tighteners. Nope. All they had were tire pressure gauges and food. So I went back to my office parking lot and looked for a screw driver small enough to fit inside the tire valve. Found my trusty Swiss army knife tool and managed to fit one of the tools inside the valve and tighten it. Pulled out the compressor from inside the boot and put it to work.
Yup. That was it. A loose valve.-

Swapping over to the winters. Going to be leaving for Ft. Leavenworth for two weeks come Sunday morning. Till I get back, the weather should be appropriate.-

vetsvette MINI Alliance AmbassadorThanks. I'm still undecided about red hashmarks on the fenders like I had on my R56. Going to wait until I have the racing stripe installed first, but I have to wait at least sixty days for the paint to cure before that can be done. The calipers will be painted sometime before next summer. Maybe by then Rota will have the RB wheels to fit the F5x.

It snowed. Left Rogue at home to stay clean. Took husband's MINI instead! Sherman Williams for paint! Gotta prepare for the holidays![emoji1]

Also programmed the mini to close windows and sunroof with key fob, activated my pieced together mini factory alarm, double blink hazards, and to unlock the doors upon engine off (no more double pull to exit)...-

I'm heading out on a 5 day road trip this afternoon.
So I washed my MINI (sure to hit rain on the trip after doing that!), checked all the fluids, checked all the lights, aired up the tires, put a spare tire behind the passenger seat, found the bag with the jack and lug wrench, and found my tire repair stuff (no runflats for me, so I like to be prepared, puncture-wise, for long trips).
Then I gathered up some shiny plastic discs for the trip (yes, I still use old fashioned CDs) and I cleaned the windows. Ready to roll.-

Added a hardwire kit for my V1 in my other R53. Fixed a squeaking steering column with some lithium grease, and mounted a tire rack in the garage for my extra set of wheels.

Drove home from the folks place, after spending Thanksgiving up there. Then stopped at Lowe's to grab a replacement faucet for the bathroom sink. Whoever the genius was that ran the drain pipe through the shelf under the sink was an @$$. Needless to say, said shelf was not reinstalled. Finished off the replacement, tweaked a couple of connections to eliminate the leaks. All better now.
