Thanks. I'm still undecided about red hashmarks on the fenders like I had on my R56. Going to wait until I have the racing stripe installed first, but I have to wait at least sixty days for the paint to cure before that can be done. The calipers will be painted sometime before next summer. Maybe by then Rota will have the RB wheels to fit the F5x.

Just finished installing my US Millworks front license plate mount. They're a bit pricey, but a quality piece.

It snowed. Left Rogue at home to stay clean. Took husband's MINI instead! Sherman Williams for paint! Gotta prepare for the holidays![emoji1]

Street side wash and wax using 2 five gallon buckets of water and a three gallon bucket soap.

Also programmed the mini to close windows and sunroof with key fob, activated my pieced together mini factory alarm, double blink hazards, and to unlock the doors upon engine off (no more double pull to exit)...

I'm heading out on a 5 day road trip this afternoon.

So I washed my MINI (sure to hit rain on the trip after doing that!), checked all the fluids, checked all the lights, aired up the tires, put a spare tire behind the passenger seat, found the bag with the jack and lug wrench, and found my tire repair stuff (no runflats for me, so I like to be prepared, puncture-wise, for long trips).

Then I gathered up some shiny plastic discs for the trip (yes, I still use old fashioned CDs) and I cleaned the windows. Ready to roll.

One of my favorite tracks. Did the Porsche school there a couple of years ago. The motorcycle museum is fantastic.

I live in San Diego. But, I do agree. Anywhere in a MINI is a great road trip!

Added a hardwire kit for my V1 in my other R53. Fixed a squeaking steering column with some lithium grease, and mounted a tire rack in the garage for my extra set of wheels.

I do not think the R56 is that different than my R53. The R56 is just more refined than my Mini.

Drove home from the folks place, after spending Thanksgiving up there. Then stopped at Lowe's to grab a replacement faucet for the bathroom sink. Whoever the genius was that ran the drain pipe through the shelf under the sink was an @$$. Needless to say, said shelf was not reinstalled. Finished off the replacement, tweaked a couple of connections to eliminate the leaks. All better now.

I had driven through some construction zones on the weekend and MINI was caked in mud. So I risked looking rather silly washing my car in the pouring rain and wind this morning before going going to work.

At least I got most of the mud off.

Took the Porker out to play on some snow/ice packed twisty and steep mountain roads with a Subaru buddy today...

Got to test out the new shoes (225/50/17 Hankook snow tires) and decided they grip too much in the snow. [emoji20] I really had to push it hard to get it to slide around the curves, which most people would prefer, but where's the fun in always being in control? [emoji12]
