Same here too. But I first I have a story to tell about what happened on Friday night during the big wind storm before the snow. Will do that when I get pictures to show everybody.

Let's put it this way: For those of us who ditched their runflats and was told "you can get a temporary mini spare off an old Honda Civic that has the same 4x100 bolt pattern" it will bolt right on. I have found out first hand that, yes, it will bolt on, but it won't work. I ended up using one of my summer tires for a temporary spare.

I usually wave, if I can. Shifting sometimes messes that up. Very few MINI drivers wave. But, most MINI drivers around here are actually MINI owners/operators. Not car enthusiasts of any kind, let alone MINIs.

Some guy in an F-series convertible yelled something to me a few days ago. I couldn't make out what he said, but he was smiling, so I assume it was good. :)

The 300 will be BHP and not 300 WHP. BHP= at the crank not the wheels.

My 2005 JCW (14 year old ) will still have more power (over 300 + at the crank now ) and not be ugly as hell.

Oh and best thing, it’s paid off, not 40+ grand.
I only pay $649.00 a year to insure it with full coverage.

The new GP might even be 50K and my car is not even close to 30k with the full RMW build including the cost of the car.

FYI- I have a RMW Motor that I just bought showing up to my house tomorrow that Dynoed at 467 WHP with a Turbo. It is built with all internals forged. Time to upgrade the cars heart and add a new one with only 3,000 miles on it.

No, I am not going Turbo, I will be going TVS 900 next Winter and it will be at MOTD 2020. (not this year) because I am not rushing the process. I will be at MOTD this year with the current motor / build with a few things different.:p

Nope, it’s not needed. The TVS 900 is very efficient heat wise and I run 100 % VP M-1 Meth.

Gee, with all the accidents and moddings, it's probably not even worth saying I got a nail in one of my Cooper's tires fixed today...they patched it and the car is running again like new.

Well, the best-laid plans of Mice and Men. I have been working on some plans for the M/A tent at the Dragon. One was a 'pay it forward' table like we did last year only with donated used MINI parts. Barry put the Kabash on that one as being unfair to the vendors as that I can understand. The other idea was to have 'seminars' on a various MINI topic like detailing, mods, coding, etc. Barry thought that was a great idea for Next year, so I hope to be getting that together later. Looks like this year all I'll be doing is driving and hanging out at the tent to meet as many of you as I can and to say hello those of you I do know. Oh well,....

Nice trip up the mountain Savvy.

I've found that it takes me a good 3 days until I acclimate to the altitude. Love Colorado, but hate the 3 day headache each time I climb in altitude. I'm sure your Korean ride did well. Back in the old days I had to stop halfway up & lean out the carburetor so I could make the summit. The road was better IMO before they paved it. Old fart memories, yep I got em.....

Actually they were his OEM shocks, I think. That's why I am confused. He never told me they were struts or not, so I just thought they were shocks. as you can see, I am pretty much brain dead when it comes to mechanics in cars, especially mine. However, I am well-schooled on cigars and Spanish.

My dog has doggy form of intestinal bowel disorder. He is getting injections at thevet to try to get some weight back on him. He weighs under 17 lbs., wayyyyyyy down from the 25-30 from 5 years ago. It's been an on-going problem..massive diarrhea is done and he has normal bowel movements, but his intestines are thick and they will not allow for the proper digestion of food. So, he is not putting on any weight but is losing it, instead. The dog acts normal and his red blood cells have improved, as of today. everything else is normal. He is active, plays with his toys, loves to take walks with me and even tolerates my smoking cigars [GOOOOD DOG].

Good news Jeff. Glad you overcame the case of analysis paralysis you were having. Your S will feel like a new car.

Great that it’s not a mega expensive fix. All good mechanics have to deal with sub par parts from time to time. :Sneaky:

That is my thought too. I'm wondering if your MINI is going through oil as in burning it. Excessive crankcase pressure can be a sign of worn rings & blow by.

Organizing this year's first MINI drive. Our annual fish n chip run. Any MINI driver in the Vancouver BC area are welcome to join me. This coming Saturday, we meet at Oakridge Shopping Mall where I will take over the South East corner parking lot.

I also ordered a rear license plate light lens because mine has cracked. So our run will take us past a MINI Dealer where I will pick up the part and we will continue on to Pajo's Fish n Chips on the Steveston Wharf.

While ordering this lens, I also impulse bought a baby gift set for a friend who just had a baby. I'm going to turn him into a MINI Motorer. Those socks are adorable.

That is a great site. I can order a can of elbow grease, some blinker fluid, or a left-handed screwdriver. I always wondered where to get that stuff. Check it out...

I looked at my new-to-me set of Volks wheels and decided I need to ceramic coat the insides to be able to better clean them easier. Hey Dave...wanna take a road trip to Cincy ? :) :) :)

Snow is gone and it’s warming up again. I drove my car around and washed it Saturday.

Sunday I washed and detailed my wife’s ride.
