crossed the 265000 milestone (kilometerstone?) marker yesterday morning. Unfortunate the nearest place I could stop and take a picture was a kilometer away. It clicked over to the 1 just as my car came to a stop.

Ok this is why you don't reply when you have had adult beverages or before your first cup of coffee. I had a Tstat on order, I just picked it up from the dealer. I knew that was where it was leaking but it was a slow leak now its a fast leak. I was hoping to have the R53 done first but I had to order the bushings for the rear shocks. I ordered Powerflex bushings from Outmotoring. I will be gone all next week. I hope they get here in time for me to install them.

Touching up a few small 1/8 inch paint
dings (still needs another coat of color
    then some clear coat).
Removed the airbag warning decals on the visors.
Polished the driver headlight lens so it
matches the new one on the other side.
It was actually pretty good before but
    now it looks new again.

Looks like a great turnout. Too bad it s at Krispy Kreme. You guys need to find a higher quality donut. ;)

Oh & heck yes you need to take a long road trip to the Smokies. Some beautiful roads down that way.

Going to the local glass shop in the AM for a new windshield in the 2016 CM, really surprised it lasted this long since I brought it home. Colorado is death on windshields. Have a zero deductible, which helps but will go with a 3rd party glass as MINI glass is soft and pits fast.

Might wash it on Thursday before the next snow event.

I was there for a while with @vetsvette and that wing looks pretty darn good on the Gen3 when you also add in that you have the splitter in the front. This video does not really do justice on how big the thing really is yet at the same time how light it is. It is as wide as the car, outside or wheel to wheel, so as the roof of the car rolls in the wing extends out beyond. The vid is from Youtube and is an earlier edition from the R53/R56. The wing is just as big with the brackets changing for the Gen3 body. This is an older vid but you can see the wing around 4:20.

On the donuts, the HotnReady sign was not on but those that were in the display case were quite tasty . . . .

Howerton does not deal with Aquamist any longer because Aquamist cut out all the dealer/vendors.

Aquamist does everything directly now. It is an easy setup that does not need a Dyno but you have to be able to read and follow instructions like with any modification.

Below are the links to Aquamist direct and the Aquamist Support Fourms.

I haven't done much of anything with my MINI lately. I'm keeping up with the cleaning and maintenance, but haven't done much "motoring." I did go to Kroger today, and when I came out, a rather nice looking R56 MCS was parked next to me. Anyone here?

WOOHOO- I pick up my car tomorrow. Everything is done that could be done. Splitter looks great, taillights are what I thought they would look like and I'm a happy camper. Also, ordered donuts for the Dragon, Red Cups for the Dragon and, I think with all the crap I am taking, I'll have to bring the trailer. It's no fun driving the dragon with a trailer. CAN'T WAIT PS are small trailers allowed at Fontana?

I picked up my car yesterday. There are some glitches going on with the wheels and tires---they aren't working well with the air suspension. I'm trying to get it sorted out before the Dragon, but I might be riding on my current wheel/tire combination. Secondly, I had 380 injectors installed. The old injectors look horrible for only having aprox 30,000 miles were dirty. My car is running GREAT with the new injectors. Better than I ever remembered. I'm will to bet that sitting in a garage for 10 years gummed them up. The splitter and the taillights look great. I can't wait to get on the road for the Dragon. OldInjector.jpg

It was rainy all day, and my MINI is clean, so I didn't go anywhere. I have food. I have beverages. No need to get the car dirty.

We have the same aforementioned pollen issue going on. Ours is this bright yellow live oak pollen. Since the car is in the garage when not in use, I can deal with it. The leaf blower and/or California Duster handles it.

My S was in Columbus, OH all day yesterday, getting a new SC belt, belt tensioner, crank pulley, oil change, tranny flush and some other stuff so I guess that other than packing my cigars and other things, I'm about ready to roll out in 2 weeks.

I bought a new to me trailer for the MINI. It is a little smaller than the one I have, but a lot more solid. Hopefully, I will pick it up tomorrow and have some pics.

Well, it is a long story, but both Mini's are gone. I now have a Ford Escape, but it is an "S" with a 2.0L engine and a turbo. Escape does fit my lifestyle better and I can get my saddle and bags of feed inside.:)

Loved the Mini, all the folks I met and MOTD, but my trust in the brand was seriously shattered. I pop back here around MOTD, just see the pictures and what all went on.

Good to see that a bunch of the old regulars are still around.

I spent the weekend installing an RMW BVH on the GP. Everything looked good but I did find a coolant leak at the water pump flange and also had a broken timing chain guide. It's back together now! I installed the new tune file from Jan and she fired right up.

I also pulled the R52 out of storage yesterday.

Saturday: finally buttoned up all the maintenance issues on the MINI. Put a factory suspension back into it, due to issues that popped up during the coil-over rebuild. Going to drop it off for an alignment in the next day or so.

I don’t care how much gas costs. Even at $5.00 a gallon I will still drive like this weekend 800+ miles to the Dragon plus a week of Dragon driving and 800+ back.
