A tornado touched down about 5 miles
southeast of my house today, taking
down several telephone poles.
Fortunately not in a very populated area.
Also had rain and sunshine at our house
simultaneously.

And another 4 inches of wet snow, was expecting 1-2 but we are blessed. High 20s. Cool all week, still winter, come on Spring!

Sorry Minidave, it is on it's way.
Hot soup night, Happy Sunday.-

In MINI news, she got a bath this weekend. I also had to install a new belly pan anchor/nut/thingy for one of the front mounting spots. Whilst under the car I noticed an oil leak (yay another one!) coming out that little opening under the flywheel. I take it I have the infamous rear main seal leak. Can't wait to fork over another what, $1k in repair costs? Not sure what's all involved but I know it's not easy to get in there.

Your garage looks great. Although it has to be tough working in such a small place. You do turn out some great work in there. Maybe it's time to move to a bigger garage with a small house attached.

When I moved from a 3 car garage to a 2 car it was hard to get used to. My house got bigger, but the garage got smaller.

I agree that's not a whole lot of room on the sides - Dave O I really think you should consider buying a scissor lift, your life would be so much easier especially doing the lower parts on the sides.
I've gotten tired of trying to work in my not too tiny 2 car garage so I'm getting ready to build an addition on the back of my garage so I can have a little more elbow room and height.-

My uncle asked me the same thing
The ladder was to clean out our shiny new gutters...... I've needed one for a while. The toilet was 1/3 I need to change. First time ever changing/installing a toilet. It's not as bad as I thought it'd be

While my car was outside last weekend I did some garage updates.
New toolbox and some new cabinets. Still need to install one more black cabinet. Yes, the color combo matches the car, Black up top with Red on the bottom.

After every thing was done and cleaned up I pulled the car in and took off the RMW BVH and FedEx’ed it to JAN for a refresh before it goes on the new motor. That’s what my head looks like after over 80,000 miles with Amsoil or Motul with only Shell 93 and 100% VP M-1 Meth looks like. (Brand new)

A little nostalgia, camping at Road America and racing. 1978, a nice warm summer, girl friend (now sweet wife), a friend and his wife and his 1976 BWM tii, only one ticket mine driving at 2am ($200) fine trying to get to the morning Saturday practice and races. Overall a great weekend. Sleeping bags, 2 person tent and the back seat of the Bimmer (tight).

The MINI's been behaving and not throwing any fits! She's been hauling around my new wheels to random trails around ATL. Any mountain bikers on here? Moved to this from my old 04' Haro last weekend, this thing is on a whole nother level.

Crashton Club CoordinatorPictures from the way-back machine. Love them Don!
You have stirred some old memories for me. Loved rallying, but transitioned to racing on the track. Heck I also raced in ITA & ITB, but on tracks in the Midwest. Did a few races in showroom stock too. I bought an old Spridget race car to rebuild & go vintage racing, but life intervened.

I had a whole load of air cooled beetles over the years. My 2013 GTI MINI replacement is my first water cooled one. Although I had the opportunity to race a couple of MK2 GTIs & a 16V Scirocco.
Back on topic, MINI stuff.
This morning we had some snow so I took Babs clubster out to the ortho doc. Heck her car has snow shoes & mine is too clean to get it out in the slop. Another injection of grease into my left knee. Oh boy.....

wmwny Well-Known MemberThanks, Don!
With all the restaurant closures, I am THRILLED that my wife is a great cook and baker! Staying at home isn't bad, and we still get to go to the now practically empty parks to walk my dog and get some exercise in the process.
They were saying today that this might last until July or August before we start getting back to normal, as long as we stay healthy, pray, and keep sanitized.-

wmwny Well-Known MemberI'm glad I am retired...lots of time to take the dog out for walks, so I still drive a lot to those parks, walk myself and the dog, and then take a "scenic" roundabout way back home again. That said, we are usually alone and the fresh, unpolluted air cleans my lungs and keeps me healthy [I HOPE].
