The 1963 Alpine is a really nice looking driver. Owned it about 3 years now, and had stored it for the prior owner for a couple years before that.

I am the second owner of the 1974 BMW R60/6 from a family friend. I remember this bike when it was new and I was a kid. I know it has over 100K miles, but no idea how much more since the top digit of the odometer sometimes moves around. Got it about 1 1/2 years ago after it had been sitting for many years. Got it running, sold my other motorcycle and this is now my forever bike.

Both get regular weekly use until the roads get salty in the winter.

It took me a week longer than anticipated due to a dead battery, but I took Rufus out for a spin last night. I've been craving a White Russian (don't judge... if it's good enough for The Dude, it's good enough for me) and I had cream / Kahluah, but no vodka, so off to the shops! That, and I needed to buy a bottle of something nice for our neighbors who just moved in and are getting married this weekend. It was so nice to be out and about in the MINI again. It has been sitting way too much lately (much like myself :D ).

That being said, the wedding gift brought up an interesting question. I know that you say 'congratulations' to the groom and 'best wishes' to the bride. What do you say to the couple when they are both grooms? I think I'm going to let the bottle of Champagne speak for me! :D

Nice Mini! So what is the first Mod going to be? You know you will mod it right? Some say they won’t but they always do.:D Here’s a couple good places. The owners are good people.

You are right about the white wheels, but my car looks total different with black wheels. With white wheels it pops.

Another motoring milestone crossed. If I hadn't retired last year, and COVID hadn't hit, closing offices et al, I would have crossed 320,000 at the end of last year. So I am running a bit behind. The car needs timing chain guides and a new clutch. But I can't afford it right now. Those who claim the R53 MINIs were unreliable probably never actually ever owned a MINI themselves. They're just jealous of all the MINI owners with big grins on their faces.

I got my winter tires on just before the cold weather and snow hit the Vancouver BC (Canada) area. Since the tire shops were busy, I hauled out my compressor and air gun, (breaker bar and torque wrench also) and invite a bunch of local MINI club members over to do a tire change tech session at my place. A couple of people came over and took me up on the invite.

We had a big snow last week, still a bit of snow on the lawns. I might get out and Wash. the MINI Countryman on Sunday, maybe 57 if we are lucky. :)

First drive after replacing the bad passenger and upper motor mounts.

Feels the same as before, but less mess in the engine compartment.

Always liked the ‘original’ but nice ones are becoming pricey and as I’ve gotten older I enjoy ac in the hot and humid months.

A newer Gen 2 or 3 Countryman was released in GTA V on-line last week... I bought one and had some fun with it in the custom mod shop, getting a pretty good reproduction of Rufus, my 2005 JCW.

I've now got a pretty good version of Rufus and I've built out a Porsche Cayman that looks a lot like my previous car, so I'm good! :D

I'm sure I could find something like my wife's A6, but the other 2 cars are more fun.

To be honest, I was amazed when I found painted arch options and a pretty good match to my wheels.
