I've been crossing the border into the Washington state to buy fuel for my MINI where gasoline is significantly less expensive than in BC.

New Yokohama tires for the Cooper Clubman.

I was going to wait another week to mount them, but I was impatient, and I have a road-trip to Purdue next week and thought these would be better than on the snow tires.

I took the front & rear panels off my portable garage I store Checkers in to have the zippers replaced. Who would have through they would be $120 each and there are 4 of them.

I went to a cars & coffee in Chico, Ca and they had some were in the area of 300 -350 cars. They had all kinds of different types. Hot rods, customs and just about everything else including mini's. All are welcome. They have it on the first Saturday of every month.

This group is primarily for older European cars, but this event was open to members other cars. There are always a bunch of rare and unusual vehicles.

Tell them to look into the companies that produce most of the cars built in England. I think they find they are owned by companies out side of England like Mini. I've been invited to ALL BRITISH CAR SHOWS of years. Tell them to Google Jaguar, Rolls Royce and Aston Martin and see who has control of the company.

I guess as you get older you loose confidents. I was thinking to put checkers back together it would take 3 or 4 hours, but it took 1 1/2. not bad for an old guy. He's ready to go to the detailers for a ceramic wash and don't ask me what that is.

Pulled off my MINI Madness Cold air intake filter, washed and re-oiled and reinstalled.

Discovered my passenger side top engine mount is leaking again. Will get another one installed at my next oil change :(.

Thanks. Now it's time to get ready for Mini Meets West. That's a lot bigger show.

Spent yesterday cleaning GIR. He got a really good washing and a chemical and physical paint decon. I got few little things polished. Next is the roof. I am going to attempt a light compound and polishing. The roof and body edges have taken the hardest hit over the years.

I taped the edges so the DA wouldn’t touch, it’s the “material exiting the pad” that I wasn’t accounting for. While I was cleaning up last night I was thinking same thing, coat them with something next time.

New coil packs arrived for Skooby yesterday. Today the plugs arrive. Soon to be under the bonnet. :D

Babs MINI is running great, this is just old fart preventative maintenance. ;)

This actually happened last month but I haven't been posting much of late. Been busy motoring. Sorry guys. The car is still going pretty strong. I'm still getting up to 15 lbs boost on the 15% reduced pulley supercharger, without a rebuild. Oil inside still looks clean. [IMG]

Was looking around my detailing supplies today and boy I could start a business with what I have. I have at least 3 or 4 of every thing. I need to quit trying ever new thing that comes out when what I use works fine.

Well that's the hard part. It's in a container that has Ceramic Garage's logo on it, so I don't know who makes it. I'll be there Friday for a wash and I'll ask and let you know.

Made an appointment this last week at a Mini/MINI independent shop for an oil change and a Boot to Bonnet inspection.
