I sourced brand new components for my upgrade. A digital gauge cluster and 2023 Nav/Infotainment system upgrade with the 8.8" touchscreen display. Since today is Thanksgiving, I plan to do the upgrade to my JCW this Saturday.

I installed everything yesterday and then turned the car on and the infotainment system came up and I was able to get CarPlay set up and running without issue. When I turn my mini on, CarPlay automatically comes up which is what I wanted. It took me a minute to figure out how to get everything set up regarding the new infotainment but once set up it is a very nice upgrade. Music streams as expected.

The digital speedometer display however requires coding to remove the many errors that come up (this is a known issue while upgrading to this display) and to function properly. This is the only thing left for my upgrade, coding in my digital speedometer. Here are a few pictures showing my upgrade in my F56 JCW, I love the updated display and functionality it provides.

I installed brand new carbon fiber mirror caps on my JCW this morning before taking my car out for a drive. I like how they tie in my carbon fiber Eventuri hood scoop. I like the new look:)

Getting late in the season, but I got snow tires mounted on one of the MINIs today..

Still need to make time to do the other one before we get bad weather. Complicated by the fact I need to take the Sunbeam out to be able to get any work done.

Unexpected warm dry spell for late December so my wife and I washed the MINI after going to one of our grandsons travel basketball tournament games.

its been awhile since i have done anything to post about. I installed the Leaf Works difusser this last week. I never understood why they didn't install one from the beginning. All that aero under the belly just to be wasted for that parachute of a bumper and trim at the end. I was going to attempt to fabricate my own but the more I studied this one the m ore I was sold on it. There were a few things I had to modify, I am sure for my own satisfaction, but I well say this is a quality part. My body man was impressed.

Dont usually track mileage milestones, but thought this was cool.

Trip odometer is off a mile from perfect, but was totally unintentional. I only use it to track miles per tank of gas.
