Sadly, I missed my MINI today.
I didn't reveal it earlier as I wanted the new owner to have his moment to reveal his 'new' MINI to the local club, but I sold Jango a couple of weeks ago to Craig and Emily, local Dallas club members who moved to Oregon in the past year. As my wife and I moving to San Francisco, we are going to see if we can be a 1 car family for a while and her cross-over Volvo makes a whole lot more sense to be that one car.

Made it to 30 today, no wash for RocketDog.
Celebrating 31 years of a wonderful marriage with my lady over Sloppy Joes, I tried to get her to go out for some Italiano, but no!
Of course, we leave for Costa Rica on Thursday morning, so perhaps I can redeem myself.
Will have to wait until I get back to wash and drive the MINIs.

Just had a new JCW hi-flow turbo exhaust manifold installed. A week ago, I installed a Forge blow-off valve. A couple of really beneficial upgrades.

Took a long drive at lunch today to give a visiting Chinese colleague an idea of MINI fun. This fellow had taken me around the city of Wuxi to several MINI dealers last August... (It was 104F then.)
Hit some great back road twisties near the office and had a blast. He couldn't stop laughing and grinning. I think I've made a new MINI fan.

Nothing like your car to get attention from a hot member of the opposite sex.... or start a conversation.
In my case, they are stunned that I know what I'm talking about... silly young men -

Monday Jan.28, took Java to the auto MD made and made an appointment to have the H&R springs installed on Feb. 14th. She's not real thrilled with the idea of a transplant; but, I promised her that a week after the alignment we'll be on a nice roadtrip to Helenblitz and see how they (the springs)
:yesnod: like the country roads.

I hit a raccoon this morning on the way to work :frown2:
SOMEHOW I have no damage?????? :eek6:
I need to jack up the car to verify, but if the front bumper (which is the lowest part of the car) is fine, then I'm gonna assume the rest is ok? :fingerscrossed:-
