Nothing. I did tinker on my pit bike project though.

It's a nice sunny day. Drove to the monthly library book sale and Herself scored a couple of cheap books. Then, went to lunch for fried catfish and chicken. (Don't tell my MD.)

Drove it home from the shop today where it spent the weekend while I was out of town. New brake pads installed. Plan for next steps in place.

Put in new hatch struts so the hatch would not hit me in the head anymore, and ordered a new key to have a spare.
Also put 150 more miles on it! All I want to do is drive it more and more! :D

After a 3 state romp with the GP yesterday (NE, IA, MO) I cleaned the GP up in the garage due to freezing temps, put the cover over it, and grinned remembering the day before...

I removed the plastic rings on the posts of the rear seat headrests that prevented them from going all the way down as they were designed to do. Now there's no more rear vision obstruction and it looks 'factory finished' as it should.

Makes perfect sense to me. I feel so stupid for buying snow tires when I could have spent many 10's of thousands on a big honkin pickumup. :mad2: Now should I have chrome balls or black ones hanging off that oversized trailer hitch?

I attended the celebration of life for a fellow MINIac. He went by the name DieselHead because his profession was a bus driver. Dan passed away of complications caused by the chemotherapy he had undergone. Everybody thought the chemo had done the job and shrunk his tumor down. Dan was out of the hospital and out motoring again. Glad he didn't die while driving.

In anycase, Dan was far more a MINI nutcase than most of us. Turns out he was totally obsessed with MINIs. His family greatly appreciated that a fellow MINI motorer showed up. He has passed Basil on to his daughter who I hope will join up M/A in the near future.

On my way to work, there is this guy, probably homeless, who regularly sits on the street corner begging for money "for food". He puts on a pretty good act. Rarely do I see anybody actually give him anything, so today I drove up to him, handed him some breakfast buns and drove away.

He said thank-you but there was this total shocked look on his face as I drove off.

Out the past 3 nights with the Countryman in the snow, out today in the snow with the Countryman. Maybe next week it will be clean again. :(

10 degrees and lower does not make for good wash weather, don't even want to think how far the mag chloride has penetrated. Love, Colorado....

Washed both MINI's yesterday in the warm garage and dried them with compressed air. No frozen locks that way.
