Drove with a few of my MINI peeps from San Antonio to the Cars And Coffee Austin event on Lake Travis. Can you spot the MINI row?

 

Completely covered my MINI in the garage so I don't have to dust it every few days.

Oh and we are getting snow tomorrow night till Thursday afternoon. (8-14 inches or more)

Ok really ! I am DONE with Winter already.

I'm not exactly svelte. More than once I've had people say to me "You got out of that?" in an astonished tone.

 

Picked up another old fart, headed to Waldo for a fried baloney samich & conversation with a friendly old fart. My car is filthy from the drive down River Rd. but it was worth it. The snows a melting & the roads are sloppy as all get out.

The snow is melting!!! :smilewinkgrin:

 

I think it hit 60 today... Took the wife and myself with her Countryman to dinner tonight.

Very special day, she submitted her resignation at work, now we both can enjoy this retirement thing.

Of course, it counted as a Valentines Dinner, too.

 

I put my new Cravenspeed Dipstick in yesterday. But didn't check my oil because I didn't drive the mini anywhere till coming to work this morning. I shall check my oil level tonigh, and hopefully soon Ill be changing the oil. I ordered some oil filters from eminiparts, and I just need to procure a couple of tools for the job, namely the 27 mm socket and an 8mm allen wrench and I'm good to go.

 

Picked up my R53 after its pulley install that started on Monday.
It was a debacle getting the stock pulley off which ended up pulling the supercharger off the car. I'm glad it was pulled off since we discovered that there was no oil in the snout! New oil and a fresh gasket to go with the new pulley and all is well again. :cornut:

 

Talked to Aaron today and ordered some new goodies for The Helmet.

 

I thought every possible mod had been to the Dark One. Did you buy some chrome tape?

 

Perfect Colorado day (60-ish) After a bath, towel down, hand wax, leather cleaned, leather conditioned, exterior trim moisturized, windows cleaned in/out, all the while BLASTING my favorite tunes from my driveway....I never made it to the wheels, though...ran out of time. The predicted storm is visible coming over the Front Range...and, here's the good part, because I already knew this ahead of time... I DON'T HAVE A GARAGE!!! I have a carport. Ha Ha Ha. I love my MINI, that is enough! I had a perfect day.

A week or so ago I noticed my antenna was missing. Here I was blaming hooligans for stealing it. Alas, it was found this morning after snow melted. How it got under that pile of snow I'll never know. Now back on the MINI catching far flung radio stations I don't listen to.

 

I, and I'm probably one a very few, am slightly miffed that we had rain today and not more snow.

It's a good thing there is not an Unlike button.

 

Washed the Blu MINI real good. Just as I finished good friend Bill came over with his new 996. Went for a flog on the back roads. While not a Porsche guy I have to say it is a great drive. Think I'd like one of my own.

Was going to wash it at the touchless place but the line went to Cleveland. Guess I'll wait till 1am, the line should be shorter by then.

instead went for a fun little drive with windows open. Won at the game of pothole slalom too.

Such a happy MINI when temps are over 50F, we had a great drive like you stole it session.

 

Used your recommendation....Plastidip warmed up in hot water and it sprayed out perfect.

 

Attempted to clean overspray off the tires, went for another nice ride with my daughter and took a few pictures. It's another beautiful day for motoring.

Been there, but it was the side of the rally car not the MINI. At the time it didn't bother me at all as long she kept reading the route book instructions out to me. We always had airsick bags in the rally car, but at times one just has to turn their head & hurl. Thank goodness for an open faced helmet.
