Took the wife out for lunch and a drive on the local rural twistys - which is a rarity for her to come. After less than 2 minutes she said that she's glad that she's not coming to the dragon (although I registered her).

I changed my spark plugs. The hard part was getting to #2,3,4 since they are under the GP IC.

    Complete job took an hour.

Funny, I lost last year by going over ever so slightly. The person who beat me guessed lower...and didn't register himself. Still had a ball at MOTD.

Yesterday changed my oil and air filter.

Today took her to MAG for a walnut blasting. Got sparks too.

Wow did that make a difference. My last one was about 50,000 miles ago, give or take, so I was overdue.

Took the Porker out in our excuse of a snow storm last night to hang out with the Wyoming club (MINI-COW) and had a heck of a good time, it feels good to be out with actual people again! :D

Went to C&C Lafayette, CO this morning, MINI5280 club meeting and short drive, lots of April fever at the C&C. Three clubs were meeting here before drives or museum visits.

Lots of nice iron and exotics, a bunch of MINIs and Mini Classics.

Dick's Garage (ModFather) rolled out the Rat Rod, see his build thread.

    :)

    I will post a C&C link later.

Yesterday, I drove to HELIX to get a short shifter, new RMW cam, and vipec installed, but mostly to have Jan tune it on the dyno. It was great to see all of the Philly-RMW family members!
Special thanks to Jan, Eric and Mike for the hours of great work that they put into my car!

Think I'll order one of those. I think we should chip in and buy this one for Paul.

I just replaced the battery in my cabrio about a month ago. If you want an oem type replacement that is reasonably priced, the Everstart MAXX H5 (Walmart) is a perfect fit, costs under $100, and has a longer warranty than most others I found at the auto store chains.

The local dealer wanted like $250 for a MINI brand replacement....uh, no.:frown2:

This is where mine is mounted. The wiring harness is just behind the door, which is immediately behind the changer... Look at my garage for additional photos of it. Hope this will help.

That CD player is one of the only ways I can listen to the tunes that've been recorded by some of my band buddies... It is on its way out the door though.

Not my Mini but today I start on a friends mini. Power flex control arm bushings, clutch (Valeo), 15% pulley(new tensioner and idler pulley), K&M filter, and some other odds and ends.

If I had Paul here I would be done by lunch time. I'm not so fast.:D

    Thanks Detroit Tuned and eMINIparts.

Concrete "Joseph" from my lawn nativity. A heavy proposition to drag out the Holy Family and manger animals every Christmas. Wish I had the funds for a garage dedicated to just my cars. Instead, I have bikes, longboard skateboards, ladders, lumber, sports equipment, etc. Anyway, thanks for the compliment.
