Took the GP on its first road trip. Took in the sights of the annual cherry blossom festival. Car said I did it averaging 44mpg, whether it's accurate or it was fun telling friends with much more "economical" cars the numbers. Manage to eek out some solid photos too.

Ordered R56 rear trailing arms and left brake pipe line. Spent a ton of time messaging and on the phone. Almost had a stroke trying to get the hardware for the rear trailing arms. Still haven't solved that one.
All this, and my MINI is 2,054 miles away.-

Just installed the passenger side seat mat emulator, buckle chime defeat, and resistors in the airbag socket to get ready for the latest mod. :ihih:
On that note, if anyone is in need of a seat mat emulator... let me know. Because I'm a dumb@$$... I ordered two. Not realizing I only needed one for the passenger seat only. If you are heading to the dragon, i'll have the extra one with me.-

^^^ Very Nice Savvy.
I took my car out for a morning shakedown run and had no issues.
Came home and did quick wash, stripped all the wax and sealant then clayed the car front to rear, rocker to rocker. Maybe tomorrow I will start the polishing process then add 1 layer of sealant.-

I got to finish testing my aero experiment. I made temporary side skirts out of cove base molding and added small vortex generators on the top just tuck under the wing.
Last week, on our run, my buddy said I was picking up all kinds of stuff. I was lifting the water off the road as we went over it. I noticed increased stability in the handling, better grip, and reduced air time on the rises.
The vortex generators bring the air back down to then reduce the drag. In the rain yesterday, once I was up to speed on the highway my rear window never got wet. It did with just the skirting.
Now I'll look for a better looking solution.-

Motorcycles and bikes run deep in my family. My Farther rode an Indian and was a car nut. My step dad who was closer than my dad to me owned a Motorcycle shop that also sold Schwinn bicycle. they sold Excelsior, Norton, Ducati, Motor Guzzi, Indian and others most people have not heard of. They Had a close relation with the Schwinn family because of this they were the only ones allowed to sale them in our town. I worked for him and was into bicycles for a short time. Also in high school for a time my only transportation was my motorcycle.
So given all this I can say, Dave is only joking, and it doesn't bother me. Good article B.A.D. nail on the head. lets all lighten up. there are a$$'s on both sides
You are joking Dave, right?
If not let me know I will bring a shovel to the Dragon so you can hide the evidence.-
