The 2016 Countryman is getting closer, off the coast of Baja California, due into Oxnard on Friday.

I suspect they will not unload until Monday, unless they have to drop some BMW/MINIs in the Portland/Seattle area.

Not sure if all get dropped at Oxnard, does anyone know?

    :) Don

I detailed the R53 so it'll be presentable when I arrive for Saturday's British car club run.

Wow, snow on Wed and bright sunshine and warm on Sunday - I love Colorado!

I drove a friend down to her job in Mid Town KC in Buzz so she could work while I do some repairs to her 2008 MINI, it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, and perfect for a drive in a Classic Mini....

Met 'ModFather' for a pizza and refreshment, picked up the wing he prepped for my friend to take to Italy.

Nice little wing, did you know the wing from an R53 is a just a bit longer that the wing on the R56. Glad this one is going on an 02 R50.

Also, an old HS friend just picked up an 02 MCS pure silver and black for his driver in California when he visits from his home in Thailand.

Looks clean and appears to be a well cared for 100K + MINI. He has the skills to work on it when he is stateside.

Here is a link to some of his work in the past, some of you bike fans might know his old shop.

Yesterday we left Babs MINI in the driveway & took my MINI substitute for a fine back road drive to our favorite ice cream place. Found some new to me roads had an ice cream, life is good. :)

Both. I dotted in the chips then took 1000 then 2000 wet sand paper to smooth them out. That looked okay. Then I tried buffing out the sanding marks. This is where the pain is. I can't get them to all go away. Between the head lights and grill is the hardest.

Brought the fiancee's car into work to give it a good check before the CPO warranty ends in April.

Timing chain was at 70mm, 2mm out of spec, so we opted to replace it. Also replaced water pump and thermostat preemptively - this car needs to make it to 100k+

Savvy, are those the only lights on in your garage?

If so two sets of those would suit my needs perfectly! Then its just adding a couple heat lamps over the tables... And taking my air system to a more professional level... Surge tanks new primary and secondary regulators, better filtration system, bigger water separators, hard lines for some of it, new hoses for the rest, oh and actually building a room in the shop for the compressor... Nothing major! Its time to get serious, what can I say... [emoji12]

Sweet thanks Savvy! I would probably bend some brackets to mount and aim them where I need the light most. [emoji2]
